Mai and Alice mentioned four places where they can buy things. Complete the list.

Mai: How was your trip to Bac Ha, Alice?

Alice: It’s awesome. I like Bac Ha Fair most. It’s an open-air market in Lao Cai.

Mai: What do you like about it?

Alice: Many things. The people at the market were wearing really colourful costumes.

Mai: Yeah ... They came from different minority groups.

Alice: I think so, and most of the products sold at the market were home-grown and home-made. I love it.

Mai: Do you have similar markets in New Zealand?

Alice: Yes, we do. Back in my city, Auckland, we have a farmers’ market every Saturday where farmers sell their products. My mother loves shopping there, and she rarely misses one.

Mai: I prefer shopping at the supermarket. I can find almost everything I need there, and I don’t have to bargain. All the items have fixed prices on their price tags.

Alice: Right. It’s more convenient.

Mai: Yeah ... Oh, I’ve got to go. My art lesson starts at one o'clock, and I want to go to a convenience store on the way. See you later.

Alice: See you.

Hello everyone, today I will talk about Mars, the 4th planet in our solar system. The name of Mars originally comes from the name of the Roman god of war and agriculture. It may not seem like these two things go together, but they do. Mars protected those who fought for their communities and stayed home to raise crops for food. Mars has two natural satellites, and their names are Phobos and Deimos. With a radius of 2,106 miles (3,390 kilometers), Mars is about half the size of Earth. The atmosphere of Mars is much thinner than Earth's. It contains more than 95% carbon dioxide and much less than 1% oxygen.  Mar's temperatures are from -151°C to 20°C. Mars is colder than Earth. If you were to stand on the surface of Mars on the equator at noon, it would feel like spring at your feet and winter at your head. Mar's surface is rocky, with canyons, volcanoes, dry lake beds and craters all over it. It's called Red Planet because iron minerals in the Martian soil oxidize, or rust, causing the soil and atmosphere to look red. One day on Mars takes a little over 24 hours. Mars makes a complete orbit around the Sun in 687 days. Thanks for listening.

Preparation for Tet, Vietnamese New Year, starts two or three months before the actual celebrations. People try to pay off their debts in advance so that they can be debt-free on Tet. Parents buy new clothes for their children so that the children can wear them when Tet arrives. Because a lot of commercial activities will cease during the celebrations people try to stock up on supplies as much as possible.

In the days leading up to Tet, the streets and markets are full of people. Everyone is busy buying food, clothes, and decorating their house. Each family prepares some special foods for the holiday. Those who live far away from home will try to come home to celebrate Tet with their family. Vietnamese families usually have a family altar to pay respect to their ancestors. During Tet the altar is thoroughly cleaned and new offerings are placed there.

On New Year’s Eve, each home is thoroughly cleaned and decorated with flowers and offerings for ancestors by the night before Tet. Many people stay up until midnight to welcome the New Year or go to the pagoda to pray for luck, prosperity, and happiness.

In the morning, actual Tet celebrations begin. The first day of Tet is reserved for the nuclear family. In big cities, the streets are usually empty as most people stay at home or leave the city to visit their close relatives in the countryside. Usually, children dress their new clothes and give their elders the traditional Tet greetings before receiving the lucky money.
