My favourite leisure activity is reading. I like reading because it is a hobby that is useful and interesting: it's useful because you can find a lot of knowledge of all areas that you need; it's interesting because the books can give you the joy and help you relax after a day of toil, etc... Especially, when you join in the forum, you can meet a lot of people who have interests similar to yours, comment on the books or novels that interest you. I love books and also natural as reading books. When I was ten , I was awarded "The Scarlet Sails" of Alexandre Green by my grandfather. It is the first book that I have been. I read it many times. Up to now, I still love it and occasionally read it again. My love for books begun. I usually spend almost of free time choosing book with my friends, participate in dicussion on the forum and reading . Every weekend and all holidays when I have no work to do, I often read books and ruminate on it. I also help some friends select the genres of books that they like. I always hope that I will have my own library in my future. I love books very much and perhaps, I couldn't live without them.
- I’ve bought bluetooth headphones recently. It’s very convenient to listen anytime, anywhere. The biggest disadvantage is that the ear buds can get lost way more easily than wired models.
- I’ve bought a smartwatch recently. I found it really easy to check notifications, track our fitness goals, and make phone calls directly from the wrist. My only problem was that battery life could be better. I had to recharge the watch daily, which can be inconvenient at times.
The traditional game festival
I took part in a traditional games festival in my school in HCM City (chỗ này có thể thay thế được). The festival lasted for one day. There were three activities in this festival: water-fetching by hand, tug of war and mandarin square capturing. In the water-fatching by hand contest, three people from each team had to get the water by hand and pour the water into the bottle. In tug of war, ten people from each team have to pull a rope in the opposite direction from the other team. In mandarin square capturing, five people from each team placed one big stone in each of the rice field squares. The first player took up all the pieces of any rice field square on his/her side of the board and distributed one piece per square starting at the next square in either direction. When all five pieces are distributed, the player would repeat again and another player do the same too.The game ended when all the pieces are captured. After the three contests my group won the second prize. The festival was wonderful.
On the occasion, I attended a local festival. It is the Temple Festival. There are many interesting activities such as: balloon piercing, monkey bridge, or dance festival. A tsunami is a series of waves created when a large volume of ocean water is rapidly displaced. Tsunami brings many disasters for humans, animals and plants. Every year many people die from this natural disaster, and animals and plants will be swept away. The word "tsunami" is taken from the Japanese language, the country has suffered these every year. However, because it has been through many times, the people and the government here have taken measures to restore the devastated situation after the tsunami. In addition, tsunamis are often accompanied by volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
Today, in Vietnam often encountered many natural disasters such as floods, droughts, hail, tropical storms and other natural disasters. These are the most frightening things people are concerned about. Tropical storms often occur and cause most harm. It usually occurs in the rainy season and occurs most often in central Vietnam and coastal areas. It causes a lot of damage to people and property. First, killing people, livestock and poultry by the flood. Second, crop loss due to flooding. Humans become homeless and lose all their possessions. and many other damages caused by the storm. Nowadays, English plays a very important role in our life, so learning English is necessary to get better jobs. I also think learning English will bring many benefits for me and I like learning it very much. However, I myself had some difficulties in listening anh writing in English. But I tried to improve them in many ways.
To improve them, everyday I must practice listening to the tapes, some English song anh watching English programs on TV more often. Besides, the dictionary also helps me to pronounce and remember the words better. I also have to do grammar exercises and practice writing in English. Moreover. I take part in the English clubs where I can learn English better. These help me improve my English.
With all my efforts, I got grade B for my English. I will try to look for new ways of learning English to improve my English better.
This really is a skill that needs to be worked on everyday. Like speaking, it’s better for you to be in a totally English speaking environment. Full immersion is the best way for you to improve your level. Again, nothing can beat learning at an English language school abroad.
It’s also good to watch TV shows, or movies in English. The news can be difficult to learn from for level students, but the more you listen the more you’ll pick up. As an exercise, it’s good to have something you can listen to over and over again. For example, a DVD can be repeated whereas a news report can only be heard once. When listening to something more than once; first, try to catch the general meaning, then, listen a second time for more in-depth information.
Learn to ’shadow’ using a DVD or CD, listen and repeat what you hear said. It’s important to remember that a native English speaker is not going to repeat something 10 times for you to understand, so as a long term goal, you must focus on learning to get your listening right first time.
Here are another couple of important things to think about.
