Light là danh từ không đếm được nên không cần dùng mạo từ. Trừ trường hợp ''the light'' là đang nhắc đến một ánh sáng cụ thể nào đó, đã được đề cập trước đó hoặc được người nói biết đến trước đó.

- Từ "light" có thể được sử dụng như một danh từ hoặc động từ. Là một danh từ, nó có thể được sử dụng có hoặc không có mạo từ.
