Vẻ đẹp của Hạ Long được tạo nên từ 3 yếu tố: Đá, nước và bầu trời. Hệ thống đảo đá Hạ Long muôn hình vạn trạng. Đường nét, họa tiết, màu sắc của đảo núi, hòa quyện với trời biển tạo ra một bức tranh thủy mặc.
Hòn Đỉnh Hương toát lên ý nghĩa tâm linh. Hòn Gà Chọi có một chiều sâu triết học. Hòn Con Cóc ngàn năm vẫn đứng đó kiện trời. “Những tảng khối xù xì lạnh xám dường như muốn lưu giữ và gợi nhớ cuộc sống biến chuyển không ngừng đã hóa thân thành hình mái nhà, mẹ bồng con, ông cụ, mặt người...”
Phía trong những đảo đá lớn lại hấp dẫn bởi những hang động đẹp đẽ, kì lạ. Hang Đầu Gỗ gợi cảm giác choáng ngợp với những nhũ đá muôn hình dáng vẻ. Động Thiên Cung như một đền đài hoành tráng, mỹ lệ. Hang Bồ Nâu có cửa uốn vòng cung với vô số nhũ đá buông xuống mềm mại như cành liễu. Hang Sửng Sốt đẹp đến bất ngờ với nhũ đá mang hình hài của gà rừng, cóc, rồng, thác nước cùng với nhiều hình hài khác, như mở ra một thế giới cổ tích. Những hang động như Tam Cung, Trinh Nữ, Ba Hang, Tiên Long… mỗi hang có những vẻ đẹp độc đáo riêng làm mê mải lòng người.
Biển Vịnh Hạ Long muôn đời vẫn một màu xanh biếc, chảy êm đềm, mải miết với thời gian. Hạ Long đẹp bốn mùa. Mùa xuân, những thảm thực vật biêng biếc chồi non trên dãy núi đá vôi. Mùa hạ, trời mát và trong trẻo, những hạt nắng lung linh rơi xuống mặt biển. Mùa thu, vào những đêm trăng, ánh trăng soi nghiêng bóng núi bập bềnh như dát vàng xuống trần gian. Vào mùa đông, với làn khói sóng bay bay, sương núi lan tỏa, Hạ Long đẹp như “một lẵng hoa nổi bềnh trên sóng biển mẹ hiền” (Lời của nhà văn Nguyễn Tuân).

Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular travel destination in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. Administratively, the bay belongs to Ha Long City, Cam Pha town, and is a part of Van Don District. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. Ha Long Bay is a center of a larger zone which includes Bai Tu Long Bay to the northeast, and Cat Ba Island to the southwest. These larger zones share a similar geological, geographical, geomorphological, climate and cultural characters.
Ha Long Bay has an area of around 1,553 km2, including 1,960–2,000 islets, most of which are limestone. The core of the bay has an area of 334 km2 with a high density of 775 islets. The limestone in this bay has gone through 500 million years of formation in different conditions and environments. The evolution of the karst in this bay has taken 20 million years under the impact of the tropical wet climate. The geo-diversity of the environment in the area has created biodiversity, including a tropical evergreen biosystem, oceanic and sea shore biosystem. Ha Long Bay is home to 14 endemic floral species and 60 endemic faunal species.
Historical research surveys have shown the presence of prehistorical human beings in this area tens of thousands years ago. The successive ancient cultures are the Soi Nhụ culture around 18,000–7000 BC, the Cai Beo culture 7000–5000 BC and the Ha Long culture 5,000–3,500 years ago. Ha Long Bay also marked important events in the history of Vietnam with many artifacts found in Bai Tho Mount, Đau Go Cave, Bai Chay.
500 years ago, Nguyễn Trai praised the beauty of Ha Long Bay in his verse Lo nhap Van Đon, in which he called it "rock wonder in the sky". In 1962, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of North Vietnam listed Ha Long Bay in the National Relics and Landscapes publication. In 1994, the core zone of Ha Long Bay was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site according to criterion vii, and listed for a second time according to criterion .

It is Ha Long Bay is in Quang Ninh province. It is very far. It's about 100km from my house. I can get there by bus. It's very very beatiful. It has many islands, caves and seafood. I like take a boat ride to Tuan Trau islands and sunbathe on the beach. I hope I'll have a chance to visit is next summer.

I really love Ha Long Bay, it's Quang Ninh Province. I think it's the most beautiful view I have met before. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. Some popular caves, islands in Ha Long are Thien Cung, Ong But, Ga Choi, and Tuan Chau island - the biggest island in Ha Long. Do you know, Ha Long Bay is is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular travel destination. I am not surprise about it because it is meritorious.
