My favorite subject is English. The first reason I like this subject is that itis a core subject which is vital and essential in my career path. I try to learn thisinternational language well so that I can communicate with foreigners and find agood job in the future. Furthermore, learning English well can help me readbooks or magazines in English. Through reading things in English, I can beexposed to various cultures and customs. Besides, my English teacher is adedicated person who can engage me in her lessons and bring the passion for me.I found her lessons interesting because she delivered them in a way that I reallyliked. In short, English is an important subject which I am really keen on.

I learn many subjects in school. But the one I enjoy learning is History.
History helps us know what people did and how they lived ages ago. It also tells us how men had to manage to make their lives better and better.
Many learners, however, do not like to read History. They say that there are too many names and dates to remember. But they do not understand that if we know nothing about the past, we cannot have a good knowledge of the present. For example, if we wish to know how men learnt to use fire or clothes, we have to know what men did in the past to travel at night or to keep themselves warm. In fact, only a study of History will make us realize that what we do today is the result of what our ancestors did in the past. History therefore is a long story of man’s struggle through the ages. As we read the story, we are learning many interesting things.
I enjoy learning history. I have a large number of history books in my house. Some day, I might even write a history book myself.

Being a volunteer is one of the best things you can do with your life. It's a great way to help other people. It's also very satisfying to know that you are not wasting your time and are helping people who need help.
Many of us could and should be out there doing voluntary activities of some kind. So many volunteer organizations need extra hands. It really is easy. Just pick up the phone and offer your services.
I think too many of us settle into a lazy lifestyle. We just want to come home and watch TV. Life is much more interesting when you're a volunteer.
I've found it really opens your eyes to how some people live. It's sometimes sad to see how the government lets people down, but at least I'm doing my bit....
“Stuffed sky rice cake” is one the most traditional special foods for the lunar new year in Viet Nam. It is made of sky rice, pork and green bean, all ingredients are wrapped inside a special leaf which calls Lá Dong. The rice and green bean have to be soaked in water for a day. The pork is usually seasoned with pepper & salt for several hours. Banh Chung is boiled for 6 or 8 hours. Nowadays, families in villages still maintain making stuffed sky rice cake before the lunar New Year but people in the cities do not. They don’t have time to make it and usually go to shops to buy it.”

Indian Festival
The Milwaukee Native American Indian Festival is truly and amazing event. For three days in September every year, thousands gather in Milwaukee, USA, to celebrate Indian culture. Last year, I was lucky enough to attend the festival and experience it for myself.
The preparations take months. Dance teams from all over the country practise to compete in the tribal Pow Wow dance contest. Indian craftsmen work to produce the many traditional items on display. Then, in the week before the festival, the stalls are put up and the food is prepared, so that everything will be ready for the big day.
The celebrations began at 4pm and there was plenty to see and do. I visited a traditional Indian village, watched skilled craftsmen carve totem poles, and even learned how to do tribal Indian dancing. It was also a great opportunity to sample some traditional native dishes, corn bread and buffalo burgers.
The festival was fun, entertaining and educational. It was a wonderful way to learn about Native American culture and celebrate the end of summer.

However, at weekends, I have much free time, so I usually spend it on relaxing to prepare for a coming busy week. First of all, in my free time, I like playing some sports, such as soccer, badminton or basketball, with my friends.
Sport not only makes me stronger but also connects me with my friends who have the same hobbies. We sometimes go riding in order that we can combine sporting activity and sightseeing. If the weather is not fine enough for me to hang out with my friends, I like to read books. I have a big bookshelf with many kinds of books but I prefer science books.

In all tv program, I Giong Ai Giong Ai program best. It's will start at quater past seven on HTV7 channel every Saturday. The program has a funny MC. His name is Dai Nghia. The judges are Tran Thanh, Thu Trang, Truong Gian, Oc Thanh Van and two guest judges. The program are very funny and useful. They can help we relax after week hard-working.

Hello everyone , my name is Mona . I am twelve years old and I am a student in class 5A at Gia Loc town primary school . In my free time , I often listen to music . I every kinds of music I use to listen . Every time I listen to music , I dance and sing along . My favourite singer is Taylor Swift . Everyday I listen to her music . It so great ! On Saturday and Sunday afternoon , I going to the music club with my best friend - Suzune Rina . Listening to music is a good way to learn English .
I making paintings with water colours as also oil colours. Paintings made with oil colours take time to make and get ready as the oils are slow in drying up. There is however a certain richness of colour in an oil painting. Water colours are quick to dry. I find the effect of water colours very soothing.
Abstracts are my favourite themes for painting. But there is meaning in the abstracts I make. They are not just a splash of colour. The abstracts I make are meaningful. I love to share the representations of my abstracts with those who ask to know it. When the meanings of abstracts are seen the paintings can be appreciated. Often the meanings of abstracts are not easy to decipher. But the coming together of colour and form in a painting is in itself beautiful.
I also making portraits. I to sit before a person and make their portrait. But this may not be possible always. I sketch portraits in black pen or in pencil. Portraits are interesting to make. I have made portraits of some celebrities and have had the opportunity to go and meet with them and have the portraits autographed by them. On a couple of occasions celebrities have wanted to have the picture with my signature. Such occasions humbled me.
Sometimes I make caricatures too. These are fun to make. They add a dash of humour to the portrait of a person. Subjects of my caricature drawings have never been offended by my work. They have d my work and have praised it.
I find making drawings and paintings very rejuvenating. When I am lonely and bored my canvas and paper, tubes and bottles of colour and brushes give me wonderful company in a beautiful and colourful way.
