Traveling has the potential to be wildly fulfilling. It exposes you to new cultures, different perspectives and unique experiences. The further you travel the more you are pushed out of your comfort zone. And the more you are pushed out of your comfort zone, the more you learn about yourself and the world around you.
One of the most popular types of journals is a travel journal. By having a travel diary, you can keep all these new experiences and knowledge in one place where you can reflect on them.
What is a travel journal?
Travel journals are a place where you can write about trips you have taken, what you learned during and the experiences you had. It is a collection of adventures, stories, memories and discovery. It doesn’t matter where you're going or who you’re traveling with, an online trip journal can come anywhere.
Why Write A Journal When Traveling?
There are many benefits of keeping a journal when traveling, but here are a few to start with:
Remember More
By writing down the things you want to do on your trip and the things you have done during it, you won’t forget the reasons you wanted to go and will remember more of your visit.
Learn More
When traveling somewhere new, you will learn a lot about that place’s culture, customs and people. By having a place to write down your observations, you will absorb more of your surroundings.
Reflect More
A journal is a place to record new things you have discovered while exploring various places you visit. By having all these new findings in one place, you will be able to look back and reflect on what you have learned and apply it to other parts of your life.
I’m back home now. Hoi An was great! My neighbourhood’s very different. It’s in the suburbs of Da Nang City. There are many things I like about it.
It’s great for outdoor activities because it has beautiful parks, sandy beaches, and fine weather. There’s almost everything I need here: shops, restaurants, and markets. Every house has a backyard and a frontyard. The people here are incredibly friendly. They’re friendlier than those in many other places! And the food’s very good.
However, there is one thing I dislike about it. Now, there are many modern buildings and offices so the streets are busy and crowded during the day.
Can anyone write about what you like and don’t like about your neighbourhood?
I live in the suburbs of Nha Trang city. There are many good things about living in my neighbourhood. First, it has beautiful parks, sandy beaches, and sunny weather all year. So, it's very good for outdoor activities and events. Second, the traffic here is also great because the roads are wide and people follow the traffic lights very well. Also, my neighbours are incredibly friendly and helpful. You can make friends with them and ask them for help easily. However, there is one thing I don't like about living here. It's quite inconvenient because if you want to hear some live music or watch a movie at the cinema, you have to catch a bus to the city centre. Despite that, I still love living here.
My neighborhood is in the city. It is surrounded by many green spaces such as trees and parks. In the afternoon, people usually go to these places and do the outdoor activities. Because my neighborhood is in the city, so there are a lot of towers and modern buildings. Besides that, there are many schools for education. People live in my neighborhood are friendly and hospitable. They are always willing to help people whenever they have difficulties. I love my neighborhood very much because it makes me feel comfortable and cozy when I live here.
THAM KHẢO NGHEN
My neighborhood is beautiful. It has a park, a lake, and is very active and beautiful. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes, markets. The food here is very delicious. The people here are very friendly. The weather here is very nice. Those are the things that I like about my neighborhood. But there are also many things I don't like : it's very noisy here .
My first house was a little treehouse in Tii Quarter in Groddle Forest. While the house itself wasn't great, living in Groddle Forest/Meadow is extremely useful at lower levels, especially if you're focusing mostly on harvesting and cooking skills like me, because of the abundance of fruit and bean trees, egg plants, and pigs. It's also really easy to travel to Ix for spice farming.I haven't lived in Bortola but a couple of my friends do. Their biggest complaint is the lack of variety in things to harvest and especially the lack of pigs. But I can't speak from personal experience. My next house was one of the mid-size houses in Kajuu. I liked the house but I didn't like Kajuu because resource-wise it seemed like there was almost nothing but bubble trees. This in itself is not terrible because in my experience bubble farming can be really lucrative; you can easily sell stacks of 250 for about 5K and therefore upgrade to a bigger house in no time. So it's a great stepping stone to a bigger house, but not necessarily the best area in terms of resources for upgrading skills. Finally, I got a 30K and then a 50K house in Alakol. I actually love those cute little themed houses in Mien Evoke a lot, and a couple of my friends have decided to keep those rather than upgrading to the big houses, but I personally just can't justify that with the pros of having the big house. It's just so much easier to grow all your own crops, with so many garden beds, and a big pen and 4 patches. I also like Alakol much better than Kajuu, because it still has a lot of bubble trees for making money, but more variety in terms of bean trees, egg plants, etc. I haven't done any mining at all, but there seem to be a ton of rocks, too. Really my only complaint about the area is that I wish it was easier to get to Ix for spice farming, but I guess you can overcome that using teleportation which I haven't learned yet.I should add, though, that any resource deficiency in an area can be mitigated if you make good, strategic decisions about which trees to plant in your patches. I guess that's one thing I wish I'd planned out better in my first couple of houses.
I my urban area is unusual as it has both space with convenience. There’s both a train, a bus & shopping center on my block. No need to cross the street! I don't strong winds are not unusual with some 60 m.p.h. Gentrification of new shopping center & condos cause rise in real estate prices. Mom & pop stores replaced by overpriced called gourmet shops.
