Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Today I will introduce everyone to my family. My family has 4 people: my grandfather, my father, my mother and me. My grandfather is 78 years old. He has silver hair and his figure is rather thin. Because of his advanced age, he rarely exercised vigorously. My grandfather has a hobby of growing flowers. Every day he is very careful to take care of his flowers. My father is a doctor. He is very busy. I rarely see my father. My father treats many patients every day. I am very proud of my father. My mom is a teacher. My mother loves me very much. My mother taught me useful things. People often think that my parents are difficult but the truth is the opposite. I am free to do what I . However, thanks to my mother’s guidance, I knew what was right. Vào mùng 10 tháng Giêng hàng năm, người dân Bắc Ninh quê em lại náo nức tổ chức hội Lim- Lễ hội truyền thống của địa phương em. Vào ngày hội, mọi người đều diện lên mình những bộ trang phục đẹp để đi hội. Hội Lim có rất nhiều trò chơi dân gian thú vị như: Kéo co, chọi gà, đấu cờ, đấu vật. Một hoạt động văn hóa khác được tổ chức ở hội Lim được đông đảo mọi người yêu thích, đó là hát quan họ. Tại bờ sông, các liền anh, liền chị hát đối đáp trên thuyền thu hút đông đảo khán giả thưởng thức. Trong những ngày tổ chức lễ hội, không chỉ có người dân ở địa phương em mà còn rất nhiều du khách từ những địa phương khác cũng về đây trẩy hội. Hội Lim là một ngày hội truyền thống, một nét đẹp văn hóa mà bất cứ người nào sinh sống trên quê hương Bắc Ninh đều cảm thấy yêu thích và tự hào.

As a traditional family in Vietnam, I have a big one. My family has 5 members, including Mom, Dad, Grandma, sister, and me. My mom’s name is Giang. She has long hair and black eyes. She is a teacher. My Dad’s name is Trung. He is tall and very strong. His job is doctor. For me, my mom is the most beautiful woman, and my dad is the most wonderful man. And my grandma’s name is Tam. She is 95 years old, and next 5 years, we will organize the 100th longevity wishing ceremony, and I look forward to taking part in this ceremony. Besides, another woman who I love so much is my sister. Her name is Linh. She is 26 years old, and she is a beautiful woman Mom. Now, she is living in Ha Noi capital, because of her jobs. I really love my family, and I hope that we are always together anyway.

Hội đua thuyền trên sông ở quê em được tổ chức vào đầu xuân năm ngoái. Hôm ấy, bầu trời quang đãng. Trăm hoa đua nhau nở rộ dưới nắng trời ấm áp. Mọi người đi xem hội rất đông. Hai bên bờ sông Trà Giang thật nhộn nhịp. Ai cũng háo hức chờ đợi cuộc đua. Những chiếc thuyền đua được trang trí rất đẹp, thuyền nào cũng cắm cờ. Các vận động viên trên thuyền là những chàng trai khỏe mạnh, vạm vỡ và nhanh nhẹn. Khi nghe hiệu lệnh thổi còi của ban tổ chức, mọi người đều hướng mắt ra phía trước. Khi nhận được khẩu lệnh “bắt đầu”, những chiếc thuyền hối hả tiến nhanh, các tay đua thoăn thoắt, không ngừng nghỉ. Nước bắn tung tóe, tiếng trống giục “Tùng! Tùng! Tùng” vang dội. Khán giả cổ vũ bằng những tràng pháo tay rộn rã. Tiếng cười, tiếng nói cùng tiếng gọi nhau í ới đã làm cho khung cảnh ngày hội thật náo nhiệt.

People say: Family where life begins and love never ends. There is only love from bottom of the heart that could realize the meaning of that saying. My family is made up of 3 people: my mother, my younger brother and I. My parents have divorced for 10 years. Since the pain that my mother had to suffer is too big so she doesn’t get marriage again and she has tried all her best to take care of us. My mother’s main job is a pilot at Vietname Airlines. Her flights could be last for a few days or even a week. Sometimes we only meet her at the weekend. But my mother did hire an old house maid who is very careful and nice to take care of me and my brother while she is busy at work. We always look forward to receiving mother’s gifts after a flight. Left all the mess behind, my mother becomes a strong woman that she even couldn’t imagine before. About my younger brother, he is the most mischievous person that I have ever known. Last semester, my brother’s teacher came to see my mother three times a week to complain about the things that he had done. However, he is very good at swimming. In addition, he is one of ten excellent students in school. That’s why my mother always tolerant of his bad behaviours. In the opposite of my brother, I am quite staid and taciturn. But we are still very close and think about each other as a bestfriend. That makes my mother is so happy. Now, I am no longer stay at home, I moved to Ho Chi Minh 2 months ago to study at university. I miss my mother, my brother and even my house maid so much. No matter how far I am away from home, my family is always in my heart because “family where life begins and love never ends”.

Gia đình tôi gồm có 3 người: mẹ tôi, em trai tôi và tôi. Bố mẹ tôi đã ly hôn cách đây 10 năm. Vì nỗi đau mà mẹ phải gánh chịu quá lớn nên bà không kết hôn thêm lần nào nữa và dành hết tâm sức để chăm sóc chúng tôi. Công việc chính của mẹ tôi là phi công ở hãng hàng không Vietnam Airlines. Những chuyến bay của bà có thể kéo dài từ vài ngày cho đến một tuần. Có khi chúng tôi chỉ gặp mẹ vào dịp cuối tuần thôi. Mẹ tôi đã thuê một người giúp việc già rất tốt bụng để chăm sóc tôi và em trai trong lúc bà bận rộn với công việc. Chúng tôi luôn trông chờ những món quà của mẹ sau mỗi chuyến bay. Bỏ lại tất cả những chuyện rắc rối phía sau, mẹ tôi đã trở thành người phụ nữ mạnh mẹ mà bà thậm chí không bao giờ có thể tưởng tượng ra. Về em trai tôi, nó là đứa quậy nhất mà tôi từng biết. Học kỳ trước, giáo viên của em tôi đã phải đến nhà gặp mẹ tôi 3 lần trong một tuần để phàn nàn về những việc mà nó đã làm. Tuy nhiên, em trai tôi rất giỏi bơi lội. Thêm vào đó, nó còn là một trong 10 học sinh xuất sắc nhất trường. Đó là lý do mà mẹ tôi luôn tha thứ những hành vi không tốt của nó. Trái ngược với em trai, tôi khá trầm tính và ít nói. Nhưng chúng tôi vẫn rất thân thiết và xem nhau như bạn thân. Điều đó làm mẹ tôi rất hạnh phúc. Tôi bây giờ không còn ở nhà nữa. Tôi đã chuyển đến Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh để học đại học 2 tháng trước. Dù tôi có đi xa nhà đến đâu thì gia đình vẫn luôn nằm trong trái tim tôi bởi vì “gia đình là nơi cuộc sống bắt đầu và tình yêu không bao giờ hết”.

My family is my home. My family has three people, my parents and I. My parents are the Guards working at the Capital Command. Although busy at work, my parents still care for me every little bit. I am the only son in the family. This year I am in grade 2, Minh Khai Primary School. I always try to study well to make my parents happy. I love my family very much. I hope my family is always full of laughter.

I come from a family of five people: my parents, my two younger brother and I.
My parents are farmers who work very hard in the field. On the trip, they are so busy. Inspite of its, they always take more time as possible to take care of us. My father is great father. Dad always teachs me things to do and not to do in this life. He is also good husband for may mom. On the trip, he often helps my mom to cook some special dishes. And at weekend, he usually fixes everything broken in our house.
About my mother. she is a caring woman. mom is always the first person to get up early in the morning to wake up I and my first younger brother and prepare breakfast before going to school. She is very thoughful! About my two younger brothers. the first one is 16 years old and the second one is 6 years old. they are obedient! And I, I'm in final hingh school and in my attempt. I'm under a lot of study pressure. inspite of its, I always dream and try to study harder and harder to get success in the future.
It's my family. I feel very happy in it. And I love my family more than anything!

She is a warm kindly person with an oval face and a long-silky hair.
My mother loves us very much. She is used to staying up late and getting up early to earn money and take care of us. She is strict thanks to that we are educated into a good person.I will try to study well to satisfy my mother's faith.

My mother is the one who I love most in my life. For what she’s done, she deserved with the whole world. My mother is a 43-year-old household wife. She’s tall, slim and especially she has a beautiful long black hair. She always smile thus everyone consider her a friendly person. My mom loves every members of the family with all her heart. She agreed to be a household woman instead of working out. My mother takes care of the household chorces. She wakes up earliest in the morning and goes to bed latest in the night. And during the day, she’s very busy. I remember once when my mother got sick so nobody did the house work and everything went to crazy. From then, my father and I join hand to help mother whenever we have free time. She’s really happy about that. When I was a kid, mom taught me to play piano at each weekend. I still remember the songs which includes many childhood’s experiences. Not only taught me to play piano, she also taught me to be a better human. I love the moral stories that she told me before I fell asleep every night. We’re really appreaciate mother’s effort, patient and her hard work to conserve the family’s happiness. My mother is an indispensable part of my life. When I grow up, I want to be a woman her.

My name is Linh. I'm in class 6C. I have black hair. I am not so clever but I am really hard-working and confident. This weekend, on Saturday morning I am helping my mom make some cakes. Then, I am tidying up my bedroom and reading my favourite novel.
After lunch, I am meeting Bao and Thu in the park to talk about the school trip. Bao and Thu are my best friends in class. Bao is quite tall and thin. He has short straight hair and black eyes. He is popular in our class because he is really kind and helpful. Thu is a pretty girl. She has a beautiful face and big brown eyes. She is quite active and independent.
On Sunday, Bao, Thu and I are going on a school trip with other classmates. We are going to Thu Le Park to see a lot of animals. We are riding boats in the lake and playing some games with suprising gifts. At noon, we are eating lunch at a restaurant near the park and going home at 3 pm.

Anyone can enjoy summer vacations the way they like. However, according to me the best way to enjoy summer vacation is to learn or read something. Also, learning and reading not only help you in your school and college life but also proved very useful in the future. But everyone has their opinion about enjoying the summer vacation. On one hand, there are people who like to go outdoor and on the other, there are people who like to spend their entire time indoors. Summer vacation is a quality time of the year for children.
