Để chính xác ngữ pháp thì câu nên được viết là "Solar panels are placed on the roof of a house and the sun's energy is used to heatING water." Đó là vì "heat" trong câu này được sử dụng như một động từ, và khi động từ này được sử dụng trong thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (present continuous tense), nó phải được bổ sung với "ing" ở cuối để hình thành thành phần "heating".
Vì vậy, câu trên nên được sửa lại thành "Solar panels are placed on the roof of a house and the sun's energy is used to heatING water." để đảm bảo ngữ pháp chính xác. Cảm ơn bạn đã chỉ ra điều này!
