Alexander Graham Bell was born in 1847 Edinburgh, Scotland. As a boy, Alexander beame interested in sound and speech.In 1870 Bell decided to emigrate to America. They lived in Boston, where Alexander taught in a school for the deaf mutes. There he began experimenting with a machine to help the deaf-mutes.For years, Bell and his assistant, Thomas Watson, worked day and night. Finally, on March 19, 1876 they first introduced the telephone. Bell said on the telephone: “Mr Watson come here, I want you”. This was the first telephone message. Bell demonstrated his invention to the public at countless exhibition. Many people were surprised when they saw and heard this invention. By 1877 the first telephone was in commercial use.
