I'm very sad that you haven't chatted with me recently. So today, I am writing you a letter to invite you to a restaurant. It is located on 23 Lucas Street. Come and at 19 o'clock on Monday. I have a close friend, Ngoc, we have been a friend since I was in high school. We have many common interests such as reading, watching movies and traveling. Every weekend, we often meet to explore new cafes and share life stories. Ngoc has always listened and accompanied me in difficult times. We have gone through many memorable memories and I am very grateful for having a friend like Ngoc.

Among my favourite sports and hobbies, I like swimming the best for several reasons. Firstly, I think playing in the water could bring great joy. It also helps reduce stress and I always feel refreshed and relaxed after swimming for about half an hour. Secondly, swimming is an excellent way to keep myself fit and healthy. It helps build up my muscle strength and prevent many heart and lung diseases. Finally, besides being a great sport, swimming is also an important survival skill, because without knowing how to swim well, it could be dangerous if there is a flood, or simply if we want to play near bodies of water. Many of such accidents have occured to teenagers lately. In conclusion, swimming will always be my preferred hobby because it is not only healthy and fun but also a life-saving skill.

The weather was cold, but it was warm, bringing with it the warmth of spring, looking out the window, the clear blue sky, the clouds, the clouds floating like cotton candy sticks playing with the wind. The golden, warm and smooth rays of sunlight fell to the ground. On the two sides of the road, the rows of trees were no longer bare, and instead of the young, lush buds. Topic 2: write a letter to your friends about your party last weekend
Dear John,
I'm very happy when I received your letter. I'm writing this letter to tell you about the party I went last week. That was my best friend birthday party.
Huong is my close friend. She turned 25 recently and her parents held a birthday party for her. I was one of those invited. The party began at about three in the afternoon. There were about twenty guests gathered in her house. We were all dressed in our best clothes. Everyone, especially Huong was very happy. We gave our presents to her and she happily opened them. It must really be exciting to receive all those presents. After that her mother served us soft drinks and delicious titbits. We then played some games like "Musical Chairs" and "Treasure Hunt". The winners were given prizes. At about four-thirty her father brought out the birthday cake. It was beautifully decorated with pink and white ice cream. 25 colorful candles sat in the middle of the cake. We all sang "Happy Birthday" to Huong after which she blew out the candles and cut the cake. Everyone clapped out hands eagerly. We helped ourselves to slices of the delicious cake. Then we continued our games.
Finally at about six in the evening the party came to an end. We were all tired but happy. I helped Huong and her parent clean up the mess we made. After that I walked home with a very good feeling .

Topic 3: you have just moved to a new house. Write a letter to your friend about your new house.
Dear Helen,
I’m just writing to let you know that I shifted to a new house two weeks ago.
I had been awaiting promotion for a long time and now I have been promoted as a branch manager in the newly opened branch of my company. The new office is a long way away from the house where I lived before. The long commute made me very tired and so I decided to move to a new place.
I’m now living in a fully furnished brand new house. It has a large living room, a modular kitchen, two cosy bedrooms and especially a spacious parking area. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, which I love the most. The balcony is very attractive and it is the place where I relax after a long busy day. The rent is quite high; nevertheless, I am comfortable living here because of the easy access to office and other amenities.
So, when are we going to meet up? If you have time next weekend please come with your family. We will have lunch and spend some quality time together. You can also take a look at my new house.
