TH1: x \(\ge\) 0

=> x = -x - 5

x + x = -5

2x = -5

x = -5:2

x = -2,5 (loại vì x < 0)

TH2: x < 0

=> -x = -x - 5

-x + x = 5

0 = 5 (không có số thỏa mãn)

Vậy không có x thỏa mãn |x| = -x-5

TH1 : Nếu x < 0 thì |x| = -x

Ta có : -x = -x - 5 

=> -x - (-x) = 5

=> -x + x = 5

=> 0 = 5 (vô lý)

TH2 : Nếu x > 0 thì |x| = x

Ta có : x = -x - 5

=> -x - x = 5

=> -2x = 5

=> x = \(-\frac{5}{2}\)
