I was shocked that I didn't know what to do. Then my friend had an idea. Why don't we just put the things back? Who will know the difference? So, while the judges were looking at the other works of art, my friend and I put everything back together again. We simply (1)..put..everything in a pile and decided that it (2)..didn't look..that bad. We (3)..had put...the last piece at the top of the pile when the judges (4)..arrived.. together with my brother. When he (5)..saw...the state of his work, his face became white with anger and mine red with embarrassment. While the judges (6)...examined..his work, he (7)..looked...at me with murder in his eyes. The only reason why I am here today to tell the story is because the judges really (8)..loved..his work, or should I say, our work? Actually, they thought it was so good that they (9)..gave..him the first prize

I was sitting in a café where I often go for a drink after work. I called the waiter whom I know quite well. I asked for a cup of coffee. While I was waiting I looked at a newspaper which was lying on the table. I started reading an article on the front page which said: ‘Police are looking for a woman, Catherine, who has been missing from her home for two weeks.’ I looked at the photo which showed a woman with dark curly hair, she had a round face. I recognized it at once. She was my new neighbor, who had moved in just 2 weeks before.
My father grew up in the countryside nearby Hanoi. He used to play with the peers in the village. Back to that time, there was no computer or smartphones; and toys were really rare and luxurious. However, my father said he had had a quite memorable childhood with his friends. They created physical games to entertain themselves. Traditional games were really popular. They play with marbles, plastic band, leaves and flowers instead of stuffed animals, dolls or miniature vehicle. At that time, there were also more outdoor space for children than at present. They could easily find a place for going fishing or flying a kite. I find the story about my father’s childhood really interesting and amazing. I wish I could do things like him at that time with my friends now. That must be wonderful!
