1.Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.
2.Environment is an essential part of our life. A clean environment is necessary for a peaceful and healthy life. An environment is the natural surroundings which helps human beings, animals and other living things to grow and develop naturally. But nowadays, our environment is disturbing in many different ways. Any type of disturbance in the nature’s balance affects the environment totally. It does not only ruin human lives but also affects on all living beings. We can save our environment with the little step taken by everyone on the earth. We should reduce the amount of waste, throwing wastes properly to its place only…and many other simple ways. It is very important to save environment for human existence. When we protect the environment, we are protecting ourselves and our future as well.

I’m writing this letter to tell you that I've just returned from a trip to Ha Long Bay with my family. The sight was extremely magnificent. It took us five or six hours by car to get there from Ha Noi. We spent more than a week there. The weather was perfect. It was sunny, cool and windy. We enjoyed walking along the seaside at night very much. It was really interesting when we knew about the legenda of Ha Long Bay. We really want to come back there when we have time next year. At twenty-five past nine, the bell rings and all the students do into the yard. It is time for recess. They are all happy and excited. They meet their friends and have some fun. Many are talking about the last class, or last night's movie. Som are eating and drinking as well as chatting. Some students are playing gameslike blindman's bluff or catch. Some boys are playing marbles and some girls are skipping rope. But the most popular activity is talking. The yard is very noisy until the bell rings. Then everyone goes indoors and classes begin again.

I have an unusual hobby: carving eggshells. I started this hobby four years ago after getting a carved egg from my dad when he came back from Japan. It's amazing that something as fragile as an empty eggshell can be made into such a beautiful piece of art. I was so amazed that I learned how to carve them myself from the internet. I find carving eggshells a little difficult but so interesting and useful. The feeling of accomplishment when I finish a piece is absolutely awesome. This hobby also helps me be more patient and careful.

Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. In 1076, the first university of Vietnam called Quoc Tu Giam (The Imperial Academy), was established within this temple by Emperor Ly Nhan Tong. That's the reason why the complex has the name of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam up to now. Initially, Quoc Tu Giam was the school for princes and children of royal families and then expanded in the following year to admit top students from around the country.
Nowadays, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most famous tourist destinations for both Vietnamese people and foreigners. It's also a place to celebrate doctorates and high ranking scholars of Vietnam. One special thing about this place is that there are 82 Doctors' stone tablets. They are tombstones with names and origins of 1304 doctors placed on the backs of stone tortoises. If you come here at the beginning of the year or in May, when many important examinations take place, you will catch sights of numerous families and students who come and pray for luck.
Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam opens daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the entrance fee for each adult is 30,000 VND.

My first visit to Nha Trang, the coastal city, was three years ago. It was a pleasant and memorable trip. Nha Trang, the capital of Khanh Hoa province, has one of the most popular municipal beaches in all of Vietnam. In Nha Trang, nature beauties are so tempting. Waves crashing onto the cliffs; the soft sigh of the sea breeze; clean white sands and turquoise waters; it all makes for a stunning landscapes. On my visit to Nha Trang, I used to get up early each morning to stroll along the beach - a chance to breath in the fresh sea air and enjoy the sunrise across the water. One attraction that captivated me three years ago and still it does is the collection of small offshore islands. Hon Tre is the largest of the islands, and Monkey island is, as the name suggests, the home of hundreds of wild monkeys. Yen island is known for its swifts’ nests. Nha Trang is one of the greatest holiday destination. I hope to have chance to come back.

Trong suốt chuyến đi Nha Trang, mỗi sáng tôi dậy sớm và đi dạo dọc bờ biển - cơ hội để hít thở trong không khí biển trong lành và thưởng ngoạn cảnh mặt trời nhô lên từ mặt nước. Một điểm thú vị đã thu hút tôi từ 3 năm trước đến tận bây giờ đó quần thể hải đảo nhỏ. Hòn Tre là đảo lớn nhất của quần đảo và đảo Khỉ nơi là nhà của hàng trăm con khỉ hoang dã. Đảo Yến nơi tiếng là nơi cư trú của hàng nghìn con chim yến. Nha Trang là một trong những điểm đến tuyệt vời nhất cho kỳ nghỉ. Tôi hy vọng sẽ có cơ hội để quay trở lại nơi đó trong dịp gần nhất.
