I am very fond of listening to music. The kind of music that I love is ballad music. This is a popular music loved by many young people. Ballad music has a gentle melody. Along with that are profound words. The theme of ballad music is usually about love. Sad love stories often touch the hearts of music listeners. My favorite ballad singer is Ha Anh Tuan. He has a good voice. His songs are in tune with my soul. When I listen to him sing, I feel like the song is dedicated to me. I usually listen to music in the evening. During this time I have quite a bit of free time so I spend it listening to music and relaxing. Sometimes I also listen to music while riding the bus to feel the distance becomes shorter. Music helps me feel at ease. I think I’ll stick with my current favorite genre of music.

Van Cao (full name is Nguyen Van Cao) is a Vietnamese patriotic musician, painter, poet, and soldier. He is the author of the song "Tien quan anthem" - the official national anthem of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and he is also one of the most influential musicians. Considered by many as a model of genius in the history of Vietnamese art, diverse artistic talents with a high synthesis of literature (poetry) - music - painting of Van Cao had early achievements since the age of eighteen and twenty. We did research on a form of traditional music in Viet Nam which is xam singing. It is a type of Vietnamese folk music which was popular in the Northern region of Vietnam but is nowadays considered an endangered form of traditional music in Vietnam. The origin of xam singing was dated from the Tran dynasty in the 14th century. Xam artists often play monochord or two-chord fiddle to accompany the songs themselves, and sometimes they form a band with one singer and others who play traditional instruments such as the drum or clappers.
