I have many hobbies, but I like reading most. Books are always a good friend to me. It is a good way to improve my vocabularies by exposing many new words. By reading, I get better at concentration because it requires me to focus on what I am reading for long periods. It also opens up the knowledge door for me. Reading books tell me about the world's history, let me see the structure of the brain, or bring me a story of Sherlock Holmes. I think reading is one of the most interesting indoors activity.
Topic 2:Everyone has their own habits, for example my friend has a habit of playing on the phone after waking up, and I have a habit of reading books before going to sleep. This habit may have been formed since I was young; my mother read me bedtime stories every night when I was not able to read. They could be fairy tales, parables, poems or lyrics. When I started reading well, my mother let me read my favorite books myself. At that time I used to read The famous detective Conan and Doraemon, and my bookcase was almost full with comics. Until I was older, my habit of reading before bed time was still maintained. My hobby is stamp collecting. I have been collecting both local stamps and foreign stamps for more than 5 years. I have now a very good collection of stamps.
It got started since I was young. I had always wanted the beautiful pictures on the stamps so I thought a way to keep them. At first I only collected local stamps which I got from the letters of my friends and relatives. Then my relatives went abroad so many collection of foreign stamps started to increase. Now I have two albums, one for local and the other for foreign ones. I classify the stamps into categories before putting them into my stamp album. There are some very rare stamps among them.
It’s an interesting hobby. First of all, when you collect stamps, you are able to learn more about the world. The stamps often say something about the country and its people. We can also know the names of many kings and famous persons. Secondly, you are able to meet new friends that have the same interest. I often exchange stamps with some of my friends.
In my opinion, good hobbies are those ones that give you the opportunity to develop a new skill. Collecting stamps teaches you some self-discipline and how to be very systematic.. I feel that my life becomes more meaningful when I have a collection of stamps. I’ll continue to make collection richer and richer in the future.

My favorite hobby is playing football in spare time. After completing my home work at home, I generally spend my lot of free time in playing football. I was so interested to play football from my childhood however started learning to play well when I was 5 years old. I was in one class when I was 5 years old. My father asked to my class teacher in the PTM about my hobby of football. And my teacher told him that there is a facility of playing sports daily in the school from class 1 so you can admit your child. Now, I really enjoy playing football and participate in the in the inter-school competitions.

There are three activities I like to do in my free time. The first is cartoon. I like watch cartoons very much. I love “Total Spies” most because it is very exciting and funny. I think playing football is sport which helps us have good health and study better. Final, I like reading books best. Since reading books are good, you can learn about another culture and again your knowledge. Moreover, it is a form of entertainment, which is useful to our life. My hobby is playing games. I started thí hobby whne i was a child, about six years ago. I think my hobby so easy. All you need is time, smart brain and the most important thing is patience. I have an unusual hobby: carving eggshells. I started this hobby four years ago after getting a carved egg from my dad when he came back from Japan. It's amazing that something as fragile as an empty eggshell can be made into such a beautiful piece of art. I was so amazed that I learned how to carve them myself from the internet. I find carving eggshells a little difficult but so interesting and useful. The feeling of accomplishment when I finish a piece is absolutely awesome. This hobby also helps me be more patient and careful.

Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. In 1076, the first university of Vietnam called Quoc Tu Giam (The Imperial Academy), was established within this temple by Emperor Ly Nhan Tong. That's the reason why the complex has the name of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam up to now. Initially, Quoc Tu Giam was the school for princes and children of royal families and then expanded in the following year to admit top students from around the country.
Nowadays, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most famous tourist destinations for both Vietnamese people and foreigners. It's also a place to celebrate doctorates and high ranking scholars of Vietnam. One special thing about this place is that there are 82 Doctors' stone tablets. They are tombstones with names and origins of 1304 doctors placed on the backs of stone tortoises. If you come here at the beginning of the year or in May, when many important examinations take place, you will catch sights of numerous families and students who come and pray for luck.
