Last summer vacation, I went to Ha Long Bay with my family. It was sunny but not very hot. My parents sat in the sun and talked. My younger sister and I went swimming. Then, we went to some souvenir shops. We bought a lot of different gifts for our friends. Next, my family went to a fodd stall for lunch. We ate fish and crab. The food was delicious, but most of the things were not cheap. They were quite expensive. Finally, we took a lot of photos and went home by bus. After trip, we felt very happy because we had a great time get together. Our trip was great.

The zoo is an artificial forest created by man. Though there are few trees compared with the natural forest, the animals, birds and other creatures found in the zoo must always remind us of the forest. It is indeed an interesting place to visit.

Even in the natural forest such a variety of animals, birds and other creatures cannot be found as in a big zoo. Animals which are not found in the forests of one country are caught in other parts or the world and brought to the zoo. The lion, for example, is not found in Malaysia; but one may see an African lion in the zoo at Johore Bahru.

Until I visited the zoo at Johore Bahru a few months ago, I had no idea how informative a visit to a zoo might be. Though the zoo at Johore Bahru is not big, I found many kinds of interesting animals and other creatures there. Lions, tigers and other animals were moving about lazily in their cages. Some of the animals appeared to be bored, and they took little interest in the visitors. The monkeys, however, showed their natural agility. Whenever they saw a visitor, they ran towards him and begged for something to eat. I was indeed amused at their behavior. Most of them were caught in Malaysia and their variety was amazing.

Some of the birds too were very interesting to see. Their beautiful feathers fascinated me. Birds are indeed one of the loveliest creations of god. A few birds are larger than many animals.

The lions and the tigers in this zoo were so docile that I could not but treat them as domestic animals like the dog and the cat. I went very close to them, but they showed little interest in me. I then began to think of how the animal or even human spirit could be broken by confinement. Confined to their cages, these animals had become spiritless. Even the sight of food did not see to excite them much.

Then, there was the crocodile with its usual pretence of innocence. It refused to be disturbed. Heaven knows how it might have reacted if a child had fallen into its pit. However, my visit to the zoo had increased my knowledge of animals.

Everything is two-faced like the two faces of a coin, and so is watching TV. Watching TV has advantages.

First, it widens our knowledge. Information on TV is diverse, letting the viewers know upto-date news from all fields of life such as news about politics, socioeconomy, scientific- chnology, etc…

Second, TV serves us as a means of relaxation. Films, plays, music shows on TV are vailable all day. We can enjoy these programs at home whenever we like.

Third, it is a good friend helping us kill time. Whenever we feel bored or do not know what to do. Simply turn on your TV set and you will surely feel OK soon. On the other hand, watching TV also has some disadvantages. Bad contents such as violent films, sexual exposures on the screen, and other sensitive topics may dangerously affect children. In addition, Watching TV too much or regularly also takes us much time and badly affects our health, especially our eyes.

Finally, we have to pay some extra money for electricity consumption, too. In short, watching TV, which may be good or bad, depends on the way we use TV to serve our life.

What would you do after a hard day at school and you want to entertaining. It simple, just turn on your TV. Music channel, comedy channel or cartoon channel... is your choice, just pick a channel. And not only entertaining, TV can also help you update the news from all over the world in the end of the day. When you bore you can go anywhere you like: Paris, New York, London just pick travel channel. As you can see TV have many advantages but you still can deny it have a disadvantage. Now you have about 30 channel with you favorite program and you don't want to miss. And you end up spend all day long to watch TV, and you forget to do other thing. Like hang out with your friend, sea everything with your own eye, or just forget to focus study for the exam. You can control your life, you are the boss, so you should find the best way to rise your TV, so it only have advantages.

I want to provide food, clothes and blankets for street children. I want to do it because I want to share the things I have with children who are in need. I hope no child will be hungry and cold. I will cook food and bring it to street children on the weekends. I will also encourage my friends to donate clothes and blankets to them.

The term community service refers to a donated activity or service carried out by a person or a group of people for the benefit and well being of the general public. Individuals who offer community service are known as volunteers. However, those are required to do so by the school, the government or a court cannot be termed as volunteers, since they are not doing the service out of their own will. People are involved in community service for different reasons and it is up to the individual to realize if it is worthwhile and why they are helping others. This article looks into some of the main beneficial aspects of community service.

Community service has now grown to be a vehicle for bringing a nation together. It is like the central point of a country, as there is a key importance on doing good for others. Every country wants its people to be disciplined and work for change. Community service comes at handy as it is the best way to inculcate this sense of responsibility to individuals. To attach an extra dimension to the aspect of reform, the judicial systems in many countries have recognized the importance of community service by handing over such projects to law breakers.

In addition, by participating in community service, children and teenagers are introduced to good values and morals. Values such as humbleness, gratefulness, honesty, sincerity and respect are among the important virtues that one can acquire from helping the community. The importance of community service eventually relies on how the provider perceives it. These programs are intended to inculcate a sense of community and civic engagement in people. The more hours people spend doing community work, the more the service will help them in realizing their educational, social and developmental goals.

1. Động từ có V1 tận cùng là “eed” thì V2, V3 là “ed”

VD:

feed (V1) → fed (V2) → fed (V3) : nuôi dạy

bleed (V1) → bled (V2) → bled (V3): (làm) chảy máu

breed (V1) → bred (V2) → bred (V3): sanh, nuôi dạy

overfeed (V1) → overfed (V2) → overfed (or overfied) (V3):cho ăn quá

 

2.Động từ có V1 tận cùng là “ay” thì V2, V3 là “aid”

VD:

say (V1) → said (V2) → said (V3): nói

lay (V1) → laid (V2) → laid (V3) : đặt để

inlay (V1) → inlaid (V2) → inlaid (V3) : cẩn, khảm

gainsay (V1) → gainsaid (V2) → gainsaid (V3) : chối cãi

mislay (V1) → mislaid (V2) → mislaid (V3) : để thất lạc

waylay (V1) → waylaid (V2) → waylaid (V3) : rình rập, ngóng chờ

 

3. Động từ V1 có tận cùng là “d” thì là “t”

VD:

bend(V1) → bent (V2) → bent (V3) uốn cong

send(V1) → sent (V2) → sent (V3) gởi

 

4. Động từ V1 có tận cùng là “ow” thì V2 là “ew”, V3 là “own”.

VD:

Blow (V1) → blew (V2) → blown (V3) thổi

Crow (V1) → crew (V2) → crown (or crewed) (V3) (gà) gáy

Foreknow (V1) → foreknew (V2) → forekown (V3) biết trước

Know (V1) → knew (V2) → known (V3) hiểu biết

Grow (V1) → grew (V2) → grown (V3) mọc, trồng

Throw (V1) → threw (V2) → thrown (V3) liệng, ném, quăng

 

5. Động từ V1 có tận cùng là “ear” thì V2 là “ore”, V3 là “orn” (động từ hear ngoại lệ)

VD:

bear (V1) → bore (V2) → borne (V3) mang, chịu (sanh đẻ)

forbear (V1) → forbore (V2) → forborne (V3) cử kiêng

swear (V1) → swore (V2) → sworne (V3) thề thốt

tear (V1) → tore (V2) → torne (V3) xé rách

6. Động từ V1 có nguyên âm “i” thì V2 là “a”, V3 là “u”

VD:

begin (V1) → began (V2) → begun (V3) bắt đầu

drink (V1) → drank (V2) → drunk (V3) uống

sing (V1) → sang (or sung) (V2) → sung (V3) hát

sink (V1) → sank (V2) → sunk (V3) chuồn, lõi đi

spring (V1) → sprang (V2) → sprung (V3) vùng

Lean (V1) → leant (V2) → leant (V3) dựa vào

Learn (V1) → learnt (V2) → learnt (V3) học
