Everyone's family eagerly welcomes Tet. Before going to the New Year, about a week, they go to prepare things like candies, peach branches, melon seeds, meat in coconut milk, melon, bitter melon, meat, cake dist, and kumquat. On the night of the 29th New Year, people poured into the street to buy apricot trees. People hustle each other and people push each other to make the market more bustling. The first job is to decorate the house and take care of apricot trees. The second job is to prepare to go shopping for things necessary to celebrate the New Year. The third task is to prepare the dishes for the New Year. The fourth job is to prepare banh chung for Tet The steps to make banh chung are: Step 1: Before making banh chung, you will have to conduct the soaking sticky rice first. Ideally, you should soak overnight, or at least 4 hours. You should also soak sticky sticky leaves with galangal or pineapple leaves to make green sticky, and also help more fragrant sticky. Unripe mung beans should also be soaked for 4 hours or left overnight. Step 2: After the sticky rice has been soaked, pour it into the basket and let it drain. Sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of salt in and mix with your fingers. Green beans do the same thing, you pour the beans out and mix with salt and pepper. Next, you marinate the meat with salt, pepper and sugar. Step 3: To make the cake square and more beautiful, you should prepare yourself a square frame to make the mold. Next, you line 4 leaves. Arrange the leaves by folding the bottom edge, folding the left edge to create a crease for the leaves Conduct the same operation for the remaining 3 pieces of leaves. Then put 4 leaves under the mold and then glutinous. You spread evenly in the 4 corners of the mold and concave in the middle. Put the green beans in there and then the meat and then the green beans again. Next, you spread sticky rice on the cover, try to make the amount of sticky and green beans above and below evenly. Finally, wrap the cake and tie it with a string. You should also remember not to tie too tight because in the process of cooking in the pot will expand. Step 4: Put the cake into a large pot and fill it with water. The time to boil a small cake is about 5 hours, with a large cake will take more time. If using a pressure cooker, your boiling time will be shortened to only 1 hour. You also need to prepare a pot of boiling water, so that when the water in the pot is boiled dry, add water in time. When boiling the bread for half the time, return to the cake, change the water. If the loaf will be alive, unevenly cooked, take out the bread and take it out immediately for 20 minutes in a pot of cold water. Then drain the cake and then use a heavy object to press the cake to squeeze out the water, helping the banh chung do not become dough and preserve for longer. Squeeze for 5 - 8 hours. When the baking is done, you can store it in the fridge of the fridge. When a guest comes, just put the cake in the microwave to use it again Surely that is enough to taste New Year's Eve and make the family more cozy together

Tet is the biggest traditional festival in Vietnam. This is an opportunity for people to enjoy a happy and relaxing period of time with their family and friends. There are some differences between Tet in the North and the South of Vietnam. In the North, the traditional food of Tet is Chung cake - a rectangular sky rice cake with meat, which is wrapped in phrynium. People usually buy the cakes with some cherry blossom branches as a symbol of Tet to decorate their houses. In the South, people consider apricots and Tet cakes are the symbols of Tet. Tet cake is also made from sky rice, and the inside can be sweet beans, bananas, or even meat. On New Year’s Eve, most families gather together to have a warm dinner and a traditional ritual in order to commemorate our ancestors. On the first day of New Year, youngsters will give their best greetings to oldsters and receive lucky money. In the rest time of Tet, people can go to pagodas to pray for good things, peace, and health. Tet is an important occasion for families and friends to be together after a year of hard work, and it can motivate people to try harder in the next year.
