Environmental pollution has made negative effects on the life of every living things on Earth. Nearly all of our achievements in the fields of industrial progress, science and technology have been realized at the cost of our health so far. Even our flora and fauna have been found to be at risk of extinction.
All this really makes us wondering whether all our gains and industrial civilization really enable us to climb the peaks of prosperity or simply bring us down the blind alleys of adversity. Many programs against environmental pollution are strenuously implemented against the indiscriminate violations committed daily in the name of development.
The environmental pollution is not only caused by the emission from nuclear tests or industries. The smoke from the automobiles and other vehicles, the increasing use of synthetic detergents, nitrogen insecticides and fertilizers contaminate both air and water.
- The water we use to drink the vegetables are all contaminated. As a result, our world is suffering from a number of incurable diseases.
- Nothing in this world is immune, no life is safe and the prospect of this world is bleak.
- The factories are mostly built in residential areas and the smoke-emitting vehicles ply through the congestion areas. Besides causing immense disturbances, it also leads to increasing number of case of pulmonary thrombosis and tuberculosis and various sorts of brain and heart complications.
- Air-pollution may cause severe lung diseases, brain-disorder diseases, asthma etc.
- Soil-pollution may negatively affect farm output ratio. It can also contaminate the ground water.
- Noise-pollution have negative effects on hearing ability. It can also cause deafness, tiredness, and mental losses.
- The heat generated by industries and vehicles causes thermal pollution by raising the environmental temperature of the nearby areas.
The birth of mills and factories is the result of the growth of industry in this machine-predominated period. As long as they will be there, they must emit smoke, pollute the air and hasten our end by slow-poisoning.

The main types of pollution :

- Water pollution occurs when surface water flows through the domestic waste, industrial waste water, pollutants in the ground, and groundwater seepage.
- Soil pollution occurs when soil contaminated with toxic chemicals (concentrations exceed normal limits) by the activities of man as active mining, industrial production and use of chemical fertilizers Study or too much pesticide, ... or leaks from underground storage tanks. Most common types of soil contaminants are hydrocarbons, heavy metals, MTBE, herbicides, pesticides, and chlorinated hydrocarbons .

+ For human health : Air pollution can kill many living organisms including humans. Ozone pollution can cause respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, inflammation of the throat, chest pain, breathlessness. Water pollution causes approximately 14,000 deaths per day, mainly by eating contaminated with untreated water. Chemicals and heavy metals contamination in food and drink can cause cancer. Oil spills can cause itching blisters. Noise pollution causes hearing loss, hypertension, depression, and insomnia., causing serious consequences .
+ For ecosystem :
- Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides cause acid rain can reduce soil pH.
- Contaminated land may become barren, not suitable for crops. This will affect other living organisms in food webs.

+ Đối với sức khỏe con người : Không khí ô nhiễm có thể giết chết nhiều cơ thể sống trong đó có con người. Ô nhiễm ozone có thể gây bệnh đường hô hấp, bệnh tim mạch, viêm vùng họng, đau ngực, tức thở. Ô nhiễm nước gây ra xấp xỉ 14.000 cái chết mỗi ngày, chủ yếu do ăn uống bằng nước bẩn chưa được xử lý. Các chất hóa học và kim loại nặng nhiễm trong thức ăn nước uống có thể gây ung thư. Dầu tràn có thể gây ngứa rộp da. Ô nhiễm tiếng ồn gây điếc, cao huyết áp, trầm cảm, và bệnh mất ngủ., gây nhiều hậu quả nghiêm trọng .
+ Đối với hệ sinh thái :
- Điôxít lưu huỳnh và các ôxít nitơ có thể gây mưa axít làm giảm độ pH của đất.
- Đất bị ô nhiễm có thể trở nên cằn cỗi, không thích hợp cho cây trồng. Điều này sẽ ảnh hưởng đến các cơ thể sống khác trong lưới thức ăn .
- Khói lẫn sương làm giảm ánh sáng mặt trời mà thực vật nhận được để thực hiện quá trình quang hợp .
- Các loài xâm lấn có thể cạnh tranh chiếm môi trường sống và làm nguy hại cho các loài địa phương, từ đó làm giảm đa dạng sinh học.
Khí CO2 sinh ra từ các nhà máy và các phương tiện qua lại còn làm tăng hiệu ứng nhà kính. Trái Đất ngày một nóng dần lên. Phá hủy dần các khu du lịch tự nhiên mà nó sẵn có.

The pollution of water is an important problem today. Today, throughout moutain to city, almost rivers are not pure. They are dark, black, and foul and make the bad trouble with our lives. We need fresh air, we need fresh water. We need water to drink, to bath, to clean and wash. We very need water. Land like Dad, and water like Mom. Water smooth, transparent, clear, and it has 70% of all our body. We can not don't need water. Water help tree grow. Water can refresh and clear all things. But today, we only have water from water city company. The water we drink, is not fresh. And it must fire to hot as 100 degree. And then, we make it cool, so we can drink. In once upon a time, all rivers are fresh. And we can swim in that, it's very funny. In that rivers, we have fishes, too, and shrimp, and very much see animals. But now, with our rivers, there have no fish, or shrimp. Because there're too dirty. If we want to make our rivers revival, we need learn the way to not pour the pollution things to our rivers. It's very difficult, I know. But if we truely want our rivers have the blue, not black, or grown color, we need do all things from the begin. Nowadays, we have many polluted company, we always try to make pure water. And to have pure water, we must pay money. It's not cheap. And the last thing I want to talk with you, that we need to learn the way to not pour the dirty things to rivers. And we need save our water.
My house is located in a small quiet alley. That’s a pretty pink house which consists of 6 rooms in totally: a living room, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom and two bedrooms. There are a white leather sofa, a television and a sideboard in the living room. After dinner, my father will turn on the television, choose a great movie and we watch it happily. Next to the living room is the kitchen where is used for cooking and enjoying the meals. In the middle of the room is a dinner table which is made from wood. Three cookers, a refrigerator and all the neccesary stuff for cooking is arranged carefully in the right corner of the room. In the left of the kitchen is a clean toilet. Beside the toilet is the bathroom which is equipped a shower and a bathtub. There are only two rooms upstairs that is my parents’ room and my private room. I’ve decorated my bedroom with adorable wallpaper and many lovely stuffed animals. A single bed is placed next to the window so that I can stargaze before falling asleep. In the opposite of the bed are my desk and my bookshelf that contain many kinds of book. There are also an old television and a piano in my bedroom. I especially love the piano because that was the gift from dad in my birthday. In every Christmas or Tet holiday, all member of my family ornament the house together and then gather in the kitchen to cooking. Although my house is not too big but to me that is the most beautiful house in the world.
This is my house. The house is modern and large. The livingroom has TV, pictures, sofa,.... We often watch TV in the livingroom. The kitchen has rice cooker, pan, bowl, plate,..... My mother cooks delicious food for my family. I like bedroom. The bedroom has all the necessary belongthings. I love my house.

In my daily life, I have several hobbies such as cooking, surfing, listening to music and so on. However, I like reading books the most for some reasons. Firstly, reading makes me feel comfortable after many long stressful hours at school. I actually like comic books because they contain lots of colorful and interesting images that keep my spirit relax. Secondly, reading books provides me a great deal of diverse knowledge of many fields. For instance, I can know more specific culture of each country in The World’s Cultures book. In addition, I can know more things about different life of various animals that are living around the world in the Discovery of Animals World book. Finally, reading helps to enhance my vocabulary in both Vietnamese and English language. In Vietnamese book, I can learn many traditional folks or proverbs that help me understand more deeply the beauty of my mother tongue. About English books, I can improve my English reading comprehension skill in study. Besides, my communication skill with the foreigners will be better, too. In conclusion, I really like reading books, for it brings many good things to me. I see it as an useful activity to learn how to make life more meaningful and beautiful.
People say that book is the endless source of knowledge, and luckily my favorite activity in my free time is reading books. I read many different kinds of books, such as science fiction, documentary, and horror stories. I live in two different worlds, the first one is my daily life, and the second one in is in the books. I can spend hours reading about a thrilling adventure, a remarkable discovery, or a magical journey. I find those details become more and more realistic when I am deep in to them, and I can experience another fascinating world. Among many books that I have read, my favorite series is Harry Potter. The story is about a little wizard with his great journey to destroy the dark force. I have been reading books since I was a kid; therefore I have a rich imagination and plenty of ideas about almost everything. Everyone has his or her own hobby, and I am glad that I spend my free time and my mind on something that is very helpful.

I very like watching cartoons. And of all the film I have seen, “Grave of the fireflies” is one in the cartoons which I like most. In Vietnamese it’s called is “Căn hầm đom đóm” or “Mộ đom đóm”. It’s a tragic story about two childents in the war. It’s made from Japan by Ghibli studio, directed and written by Takahata Isao. It is based on a nover of Nosaka Akiyuki. It’s written as a apologize to his sister. With Japanese, this film is understaned as a fable about the respect. Film is been in historical background at the end of the seconds world war from Japan. Film tells a painful story but moving to brothers sentiment of two orphaneds : Seita and Setsuko. They lost mother after a fierce bombing of American air force to Kobe city while their father combat for Japanese navy. So Seita and Setsuko must to struggle to exist between the famine and the resistance to merciless of surrounding people (that have their kinship). They have to live in a shelter-pit and often eat frogs and lizards. At the end, Setsuko have to die for hunger, pictures depict painfulness and the death of little girl can be considered as the most mournful film pictures in the cartoon Japan history. First , you mix together 1/4 cup olive oil , the juice of a lemon , and salt and pepper . Then you rub the mixture all over the chicken . Next , put the chicken in the oven at 350 degrees for an hour. While it is cooking, put a can of chopped tomatoes, oregano , and 1/2 stick of butter in a saucepan. Bring it to a boil , and then turn it to low . After that, pour the tomato mixture over the chicken. Cook it for another hour or until it's done . You can serve it with noodles or rice. I also like it with green beans or a green salad . It's even better the next day.
