It was a great to see you again after so long and to be able to discuss about all the things we used to do when we were students together learning english in London. I hope you had a good time journey home. Did the flight reach to Athens in time for you to get up your connection? I hope so. Do you remember I promised to send you that a book we talked about? Well, I've searched in everywhere for it but so far I haven't managed to find it. As soon as I will do, I'll put it in the post to for you - it's a really exciting story. And now I'd like to ask you about a favor, ont for me but for mys sister. She wants to have a work in Greece. She doesn't mind what she does- she would be to happy to work in a bar or to look after children. So if only you know of anything, please let us know. She'd like to spend until one year there from next January, which it should be possible. I think. She has been decided it is the best thing for her. I'm looking forward to know hearing from you soon. WOULD you please (check) CHECK that you (receive) HAVE RECEIVED it and if you haven't, please send me another application form. If, on the other hand, you (receive) HAVE RECEIVED my application but (not decide) HAVEN'T DECIDED whether to accept me as a student or not, I (be) SHOULD BE very grateful if you (tell) WOULD TELL me when I may expect to hear your decision. CAN YOU ADVISE ME?
I am writing to you because I would like become => to become a journalist when I leave school. Since you are the editor ò the local newspaper, I hope that you many be able to give me some advice about what I should to=>X do. I have written some articles during my spare time and I am enclosing two of them. I hope that you won't mind looking at them and telling me whether you think they are good or not. I would appreciate any comments you make because I am keen to learn. I also wonder if you could advise me about a few other matters. Do you think it is the better=>the best to do a course in journalism at a college ỏ to try to get a job as a junior reporter as soon as I finish school? Do newpapers prefer to employ people with a qualification in hournalism or to train them while they are actually doing the jobs? Another question I would like to ask is, would you advise me to specialise in one kind of report, such as politics, or it is advisable to know a little bit about a lot of subjects? I am sure that you are very busy but I would be grateful for any advise=>advice you could give me. Finally, would it be possible to come into the newpaper offices one day so that I could see how a real newpaper operate? I would welcome the opportunity to do that.
