Mobile phones have changed our lifestyle forever, but not all the changes are for the best. Discuss the pros and cons of owning a mobile phone.
Our lives have greatly changed thanks to the development of modern technology including mobile phones. Some people believe that mobiles bring only benefits to human beings. However, they also have some disadvantages.
Mobile phones are the best way for us to communicate with each other. We can make a phone call or send a message to our friends, families and colleagues much easier and quicker. In addition, it is more convenient when using mobile phones, especially with people who usually have to move long distances. For example, my father works very far from home and he always comes home at weekend. Therefore, he uses a mobile to keep in touch with my mother and me to make sure everything at home is all right. Sometimes, he call us to announce that he has to work overtime. In this occasion, using mobile is the quickest and cheapest way of communication because his office do not allow staff use telephone for private and my father do not have enough money to buy a laptop so as to connect the Internet.
Moreover, modern mobiles have a lot of functions. Some mobile phone producer have introduced many types of mobiles which can be used as cameras or video recorders. Most mobiles are designed to replace music players or even computers. Thus, we can not only talk to others but also see them on the screen.
However, mobile phones cause some problems. The first one is the time we spend on them. For instance, young people like students spend much time on talking with friends by mobiles. While adults such as businessmen use mobile phones for its major function, younger usually uses them for listening to music or playing games. Hence, young people depend much on mobiles that some of them become addicted to mobile phones. Furthermore, mobile phones are difficult to clean. According to some latest studies, a mobile phone is much dirtier than a bathroom so that it can make people who own it become sick.
In conclusion, mobiles have changed our lifestyle forever since they were invented. Despite they have some disadvantages, they are essential in modern life.
What are the pros and cons of being the only child? There are some options in this subject. Some children feel well withouth siblings but others dream about a brother or a sister.
One of the main advantages of being the only child is that your parents pay attention only to you. You are the most important person in their lives. Parents do everything for you. For example, if you want a new toy or some clothes they go to a shop and just buy it for you. Moreover, you have everything for yourself. You do not have to share the room, the computer and any other things. What is more you get more presents or more money. In addition to that, there is no person to quarrel with. You are alone and no one can take your things and do something wrong with them. No one disturbs you. You are a family 'pet' and you get all parential love.
On the other hand there are also some disadvantages. First of all, the only children are very spoiled and selfish. They are used to thinking that they are the most important people so they must have everything only for themselves. When something is not going according to the way they planned it, they get angry. But it is not all. Being the only child means that parents put preassure on you. You have to still prove that you are the best. You have to het a A for every classroom test otherwise your parents will be disappointed with you. Last but not least, the only child may sometimes feel lonely. Other children can go out with siblings - for example to a disco, to friends or even to school. The only child must go solitary or with friends, although it is not the same. They have nobody who can borrow them some clothes or other things.
To sum up, being the only child has many advantages but also a lot of disadvantages. Being such a child can be good, although in my opinion these people feel lonely and sad. Personally, I do not want to be the only child.

THE GENERATION GAP
people talk about the generation as a kind of division between young people and their parents. It is something which is (GENERAL) generally a problem when children enter their teenage years, and results in (COMPLAIN) complaints on both sides. Parents, for example, can often be heard to say that young people are disrespectful and disobedient, and in (ADD) addition, young people tend to be (RESPONSIBLE) irresponsible when spending because they don't appreciate the value of money. Adolsescents, on the other hand, complain that their parents don't understand them.
What has gone wrong? One (EXPLAIN) explanation lies in how society has changed in the past , children would (TYPICAL) typically continue the way of life of their parents. In today's world, parents are very (AMBITION) ambitious for their children because they want them to achieve more than they did. The problem is that children often (AGREE) disagree with their parent's plans. (TEENAGE) Teenagers also reach maturity at an (EARLY) earlier age than they used to and want their independence sooner. The resulting conflict is painful to both sides.
