5x - (x - 6) = 4(3 - 2x)

=> 5x - x + 6 = 12 - 8x

=> 4x + 6 = 12 - 8x

=> 4x + 8x = 12 - 6

=> 12x = 6

=> x = 6 : 12

=> x = 1/2
