Australia Day is on 26th January every day. It's a nation=>national holiday in Australia and it's the country's most=>the most important date. The day celebrates the greatest things in Australia culture- the history, the land, the people and their most important achievements. It's also an opportunity for people to think of the future of Australia.

People organized thousands of fantastic events on over=>over the country. January is the hottest month in Australia because lots of events are outside. In Sydney, the biggest city in Australia, the day start =>starts 5.30 a.m with a barbecue breakfast. Then there is a traditional ceremony of Aboriginal singing and dancing. In the afternoon, there are boats =>boat races, concerts, fair and special sports competitions.

The day ends in fireworks. There are hundreds of huge fireworks displays all over the country. The biggest display is in Perth, Western Australia. Almost half a million people watch the fireworks display from the side of the Swan River.
