Last summer, I had a chance to join my friend's family on a trip to his home village, about 30 kilometers to the north of Da Nang. The village (25) lies near the foot of Hai Van Pass. We went there by car. Our car ran at an average speed, (26) so we could enjoy the beautiful sights along the road. The green paddy fields stretched as far as the eye could see. Some cows were grazing by the roadside. It did not take long, just about half an hour. The village is on the other side of the river, so we had (27) to park the car under a big banyan tree by the ferry landing. We crossed the river by ferry.

Mùa hè năm ngoái, tôi có dịp cùng gia đình bạn tôi đi du lịch quê anh ấy, cách Đà Nẵng khoảng 30 cây số về phía Bắc. Làng (25) nằm gần chân đèo Hải Vân. Chúng tôi đến đó bằng ô tô. Xe của chúng tôi chạy với tốc độ trung bình, (26) để chúng tôi có thể thưởng thức những cảnh đẹp dọc đường. Những cánh đồng lúa xanh trải dài ngút tầm mắt. Một số con bò đang gặm cỏ bên đường.
