Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

All of the special holidays in my country, I Tet the most. Tet is an occasion to everyone get together in warm atmosphere. Before Tet holiday, Everyone prepares many things and decorates their house. I plant a lot of flowers in front of my house and buy many things such as clothes, foods ...
Besides, most of the streets also are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. During Tet, I spends more time on visiting my relatives, friends and colleagues. Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year. Tet is an opportunity for children receive lucky money. There is a funny thing that people try to avoid argument or saying any bad things at Tet. I love Tet holiday!

Summer vacations are the best time to relax and enjoy with family and friends, it’s the time I eagerly waited for every year. This year’s summer vacation is so special to me because it was the first time I’ve been on a trip with my colleagues. We had a wonderful time in Vung Tau – the city which has most beatiful beaches in Vietnam.
We stayed there for 2 days at a small but convenient hostel. First day, we got up early to see the sunrise on the beach. It’s the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen. Then we swam and lay down on the sand to enjoy beautiful sunlight and the clear blue sky. We also enjoyed delicious seafood and drank fresh coconuts.
The next day, it took us about 30 minutes to hike up the Small Mountain to visit the Lighthouse. But it was really worth the try! The lighthouse affords a panoramic magnificent view of the whole of Vung Tau and is a really interesting site. On top of Small Mountain, there is the enormous 28m figure of Jesus gazing across the East Sea. This is the largest sculpture in the Southern Vietnam. The two shoulders of the figure are balconies, each able to accommodate up to six people, which offer a splendid view of the surrounding landscape.
The weather during the time we stayed was really good and the local people were friendly. We took many photographs to save our memorable vacation and bought a lot of souvenirs, too. I just had so many good memories of that whole trip. Everything was great, but what made the trip even greater was the fact that I was able to bulid a stronger relationships with my colleagues.

I had always dreamed about going to Thanh Hoa and near places. On 27th July I , my family departedThanh Hoa towards our first destination,Thanh Hoa . As soon as we reached there after a long journey, I was stunned by the beautiful scenic views that I only saw in pictures. I was totally lost in the scenic views that I forgot to blink my eyes. We stayed in the 5-star hotel in front of the beach. Next day, we hired a boat for a trip to see small islands. It was simply amazing.We swam all day and return our Hotel. Following day we hired a car and saw historical place, visited museum and doing shopping. It was a beautiful and excited.The holiday was a perfect.

"The titanic" is one of the most famous film in the world. It was released in 1997. It is the best love story I have ever watched. I watched this movie many times but I never got tired watching it. Whenever I watch it, I always cry. The film is about the love story of Rose Dewitt Bukater and Jack Dawson. Jack was a free-spirited poor young man but he got a ticket for a luxurious ship, Titanic. Rose was from the American upper class and was engaged to a man. She was reluctant to marry him. She met Jack in Titanic and they fell deeply in love even there was a huge gap between them. Titanic was headed to America from England. However, the ship crashed into an iceberg on the way. The side of it broke up and the ship was flooded. Not everyone could escape safely. Many people dead include Jack. Rose was survived because Jack helped her to climb on a boat. Jack sacrificed himself for Rose. The reasons I like it so much are the grand scenery and the romantic content. This is the best movie I have ever watched. No wonder why Titanic already won 11 Academy Awards. I recommend that everyone should watch this movie at least once.

We know that our country's traffic problem is very complicated. Often times traffic congestion, car accident. The reason is that the Vietnamese people do not have awareness when participating in traffic. often occupy the roadway, road traffic.all of the causes that often lead to car accidents when in traffic, traffic congestion, .... the way to avoid the above is when participating In traffic we should wear helmets, we must not go in the opposite direction, not occupy the roadway, do not dodge road traffic, do not ride too fast. The above things will limit the Vietnamese people from traffic accidents. We hope that the Vietnamese people are always conscious to reduce the rate of traffic accidents in our country.

Hi everyone, I am ( gì tự viết) and today I will tell you about my hometown. I come from Hungyen which is a province in the North of Vietnam. There are not many buildings and constuctures here so the air is more fresh and clean than in the city. The weather is nice and it will comfort you and make you happy. The specialties of my hometown is Longan fruite. People in my country enjoy eating it so almost every houses grow them for selling. Everyone lives here take care of each others, they live like a big family. In the evening, people in a neighborhood always gather in the large yard and chatting toghether after a long day of work. I love my hometown and the people here so much and I think, it does not matter how far you can go but hometown is always a place where you can come back anytime you want.

Hello everyone, my name is Nguyen Hoang Bao Tram. This year..... today I would like to introduce to everyone about Quang Tri province. Quang Tri Nam is in the north central region of Vietnam. Quang Tri is where I currently live. This place has many scenic spots for you to visit such as: Vinh Hook Tunnels, Gio An Ancient Well, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, Hien Luong Bridge, Cong. pear duan,..and many more. For us, Quang Tri people are very friendly and caring for others. Quang Tri's biggest holiday is Tet. Quang Tri specialties are seaweed jelly cakes, banh xeo, banh loc,... at Tet, they wrap banh chung together and wish each other good luck. Children and grandchildren from far away always return before New Year's Eve to reunite their families. Vietnam is famous for its several holiday and festival, especially Tet holiday. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar until at least the third day. Although occurring in short period of time, it is believed to be the most important and popular holiday in Vietnam. There are many special food are made so as to prepare for Tet meal such as: sky square cake, Vietnamese sausage, sky rice and jam. The food is thought to reflect Vietnam’s habit and custom as well as Vietnamese’s lifestyle. Besides, the meal has other dishes fish, vegetable to show the hope for a successful and prosperous new year. In term of customs, children’s receiving red envelop from the elder, visiting relative’s houses and going to church are popular activities. Giving lucky money is thought to bring children hope and health. Church is the symbol of peace; therefore, individual go there and pray for successive year. Traditionally, the house is designed with peach flower in the North and Ochna integerrima in the south part of Vietnam. Besides, the house as well as town are clear, decorative and beautiful as all are ready to start a new year. People have cozy atmosphere and enjoy joyful time with their family’s members. It’s high time for people living at different parts of country gathering and spending time together. Tet is a chance for one to come back home after many stress and pressure of studying and working environment. Tet is not simply a holiday, it is culture and habit of Vietnamese since its deep meaning is sacred and important. All in all, Tet includes not only joy but also long-standing event in people’s soul as it helps one grow up through experience.
