Michael: Nga, how do Vietnamese people often celebrate New Year?

Nga: We call it Tet. Each year we celebrate it at different times. This year, it's going to be at the beginning of February.

Michael: You know, this year is going to be the first Tet for my family. What should we do during Tet?

Nga: A lot of things. You should clean and decorate your house to make it more beautiful. You should buy plants and flowers like kumquat trees, peach or apricot blossoms.

Michael: Do you travel during Tet?

Nga: Vietnamese people don't usually travel during Tet. For us, Tet is for family gatherings. But many foreigners do travel during Tet.

Nga: You should come to my house on New Year's Eve. We will have an end-of-year party with a lot of food.
