Một phần lớn những kỷ niệm thời thơ ấu của tôi khá thay đổi và mờ nhạt, nơi tôi hầu như không nhớ lại tên và khuôn mặt của giáo viên mẫu giáo hay bạn học của tôi. Tôi có thể tự hào nói rằng tôi lớn lên với các nhân vật của Blyton, những người đã đi cùng tôi từ những năm tuổi vị thành niên vào những năm học tiểu học của tôi vì những câu chuyện của cô có những mức độ khó khăn khác nhau cho một nhóm độc giả. Đối với bản thân mình, tác giả này đã mở ra tâm trí ấn tượng của tôi với những thế giới khác nhau, những thế giới huyền diệu và cũng khác biệt về mặt văn hóa. Ví dụ, trường nội trú không phải là lựa chọn phổ biến ở Singapore bởi vì đối với một hòn đảo nhỏ như chúng ta, trường tiểu học của tôi chỉ cách nhà 15 phút đi bộ. Tuy nhiên, thông qua loạt Malory Towers, tôi biết nhiều hơn về cách những đứa trẻ khác sống ở các khu vực khác trên thế giới.

Beautiful and unobtrusive! Duc Tho always tries to grow, and to improve the life of people, but keeping the traditional culture.

My parents’ hometown is Long An, but I was born and raised up in Ho Chi Minh City. People usually call it Saigon, and it is the biggest city of Vietnam. It has a lot of fascinating buildings and constructions since it is a modern and developing city. What I love about Saigon is that all the new and old things are perfectly harmonized. Behind the skyscrapers are the small alleys which contain a slower lifestyle and traditional values. Besides the view, it can be said that Saigon is one of the food heaven that people should not miss when they come to Vietnam. We can find almost all kind of Vietnamese cuisine here, and we can enjoy featuring foods on floating restaurants on Saigon River. I love Saigon a lot, because both the people and the city itself are nice to me and whoever wants to visit it.
