Vietnam National Day, celebrated on September 2nd, is one of the most meaningful occasions for every Vietnamese citizen. It marks the historic moment in 1945 when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. This day reminds us of the heroic sacrifices of our forefathers who fought bravely for freedom and independence. As a young generation living in peace, I feel proud and grateful for their dedication and resilience. Every year, when the red flags with yellow stars fly proudly on the streets, my heart is filled with patriotism and unity. It is not only a day of remembrance but also an opportunity for us to promise to study harder, work better, and contribute to building a stronger and more prosperous Vietnam in the future.
