Thu is vey pretty. She has short black hair and big eyes. She is clever and hard-working but she also very funny. She makes jokes and we all laugh. She loves reading and writing short poems. I being with her. We often do our homework together and she helps me a lot. I also her because she knows a lot about astronomy and we can chat about it for hours. She always listen to me and always there when i need her, in good or bad time.

I really love my friend.

I had quite a few toys as a child over the years, but one that I remember well is an action figure which my parents gave to me. I think I was about 6 or maybe 7 years old, and it became one of my favorite toys for a few years.

I remember it well because of the circumstances. They gave it to me when I was in hospital. I was having an operation and I had to stay in the hospital for about 4 days in total, anyway, after the first day, and after the operation, they came to visit me and they brought me a present, which was a nice surprise. I unwrapped the present and it was an action figure – a soldier – which I thought was pretty cool at the time. 

I d it because the hospital was a pretty boring place and having a new toy was fun – it kept me amused playing with it and inventing all kinds of adventures that he could be involved in. I guess it was a kind of therapy because I didn’t really feel that well for a couple of days and I wasn’t allowed to get out of bed or anything that until the last day – so it gave me something to pass the time, apart from reading a book.

At night when I was in the hospital and couldn’t sleep I used to imagine places where my soldier would go - in the jungle and up mountains and to faraway places and get into all kinds of adventures and exciting situations, but of course he would always survive and return from his mission successfully. Thinking about it now, it’s quite funny how vivid my imagination was back then.

I really d the toy for a few years but then I started being interested in other things and lost interest in action figures, but it’s still one of the gifts and one of the toys I had as a child that I remember well, probably because of the circumstances, being in hospital and everything.

   Thank you for your recent letter. It is so wonderful to hear from you! I am very glad that you had a good vacation.
   As for me, I also spent a wonderful vacation. First, I lived with my parents in the garden. The weather was hot and I swam a lot with my friends. We played soccer and rode bicycles. 
   And in August we went to Cyprus with my parents. It is a large island in the Mediterranean with a wonderful climate. We swam in the sea and were lying in the shade of huge eucalyptus trees. We traveled along the mountain paths and played tennis. Anyway, it was a memorable summer.
   How did your academic year begin? Are there newcomers in your class? Any new subjects?
   I’m sorry, I have to go to the sports section.

You ask me how I spent the summer. I rested at a youth camp on the lake Chebarkul is located in Chelyabinsk region in Russia. I can not say that the summer was very hot, but at the camp we had fun. Yesterday was a good day with me. I did some exercises at school with my friends. In the Art lesson, we drew a big picture of the nature together. When I came home, I saw a big cake on the table. • Câu hỏi Yes/No question

Câu hỏi Yes/No question là câu hỏi mà người nghe sẽ phải lựa chọn trả lời Yes/No cho mỗi câu hỏi.
Câu gián tiếp:

VD:

• “Do you love English?”, the teacher asked.  → The teacher asked me if/whether I loved English.

• “Have you done your homeworked yet?”, they asked. → They asked me if/whether I had done my homework yet.

Lưu ý: Nếu trong câu trực tiếp có từ “OR NOT” thì câu gián tiếp bắt buộc phải dùng WHETHER

“Does she roses or not?”, he wondered. → He wondered whether she d roses or not.
