2: Bạn cần: một cây nến, một bật lửa, một tô nước.

3Thực hiện: Người làm thí nghiệm sử dụng cây nến có đường kính 22 mm và cắt bớt sao cho có độ dài bằng độ sâu của tô nước. Trước tiên, đốt nến và nhỏ giọt nến đang tan chảy xuống đáy tô, sau đó thổi tắt lửa và cắm thẳng cây nến vào trong tô. Để nến khô trong 5 phút, nến sẽ dính chặt hơn, khi nhấc nến có thể nhấc theo cả tô.

Tiếp theo, đổ nước vào tô cho đến khi mực nước thấp hơn đỉnh nến một chút. Đợi nước phẳng lặng, dùng bật lửa đốt nến.

Bạn sẽ quan sát thấy khi nến cháy đến ngang mực nước, nó bắt đầu chỉ tan chảy phần trong lõi, phần bên ngoài vẫn giữ nguyên độ cao giúp lửa không bị tắt.
