Lovely to hear from you after so long. It’s great to know that you are still healthy and happy, as you always are. And it’s even greater to know that you are planning to come to study in Ho Chi Minh city as an exchange student next year! You’ll never know how elated I was after hearing that news! I almost JUMPED with joy! If only you had seen my mom’s face at that time! She stared at me as if I had had some kind of mental illness…Okay, I think that’s enough for my silly feelings, let’s get down to business. I will give you some basic information about my place so that you won’t encounter so many problems when living here.

First thing first, you will need a place to live in, and you can live at my house. I’ve asked my parents and they all agreed. I’m more than willing to share the room with you, and we can play video games together all night long! (Even though I know that I am no match for you …). You also want to find a part-time job too, don’t you? As far as I know, there’s an English center near my house which is thirsty for foreign teachers. I think you stand a very good chance of having that part-time job, so I think you should go for it!

I almost forgot, you’ll have to find a place to learn Vietnamese! Fortunately, my university (Ho Chi Minh city of pedagogy) has some evening classes for foreigners to attend. This won't be a big problem anymore when you learn Vietnamese here! The teachers are totally great!
As the letter is getting rather long, I will have to stop now. Can’t wait to see you in Vietnam!

People say that book is the endless source of knowledge, and luckily my favorite activity in my free time is reading books. I read many different kinds of books, such as science fiction, documentary, and horror stories. I live in two different worlds, the first one is my daily life, and the second one in is in the books. I can spend hours reading about a thrilling adventure, a remarkable discovery, or a magical journey. I find those details become more and more realis when I am deep in to them, and I can experience another fascinating world. Among many books that I have read, my favorite series is Harry Potter. The story is about a little wizard with his great journey to destroy the dark force. I have been reading books since I was a kid; therefore I have a rich imagination and plenty of ideas about almost everything. Everyone has his or her own hobby, and I am glad that I spend my free time and my mind on something that is very helpful.

I watching movies, especially horror and action movies. I find myself a stronger person when I watch these films. There is another hobby that I really enjoy – gathering with my friends for chatting. I the Thailand and Chinese cuisines because they are tasty and spicy. Moreover, I enjoy myself by swimming and reading books when I am alone.

Nhung là môt người ban thân của tôi, phải nói như thế vì tôi không có nhiều bạn và bạn ấy cũng vậy. Nhung hầu như chỉ chơi thân với tôi bởi có lẽ tôi là người chịu được cái tính ít nói của cô, còn cô bạn ấy thì nhất quyết là người duy nhất chịu được cái tính nói liên hồi của tôi. Thật thú vị là tôi và Nhung không chỉ khác nhau về tính cách mà còn khác nhau cả về hình dáng bên ngoài. Trái với cái vẻcòm nhom như xác ve của tôi là một thân hình béo tròn, đầy đặn trông rất dễ thương của Nhung. Nhung có đôi mắt to và nâu, một màu nâu hạt dẻ xinh đẹp, khuôn mặt tròn trắng trẻo thường hồng lên mỗi khi bị tôi trêu chọc. Cặp lông mày sâu róm khi tức giận lại nhăn lên trông thật ngộ. Đặc biệt, bạn hay mỉm cười khi nghe tôi nói chuyện nên tôi chưa bao giờ có cảm giác mình đang độc thoại cả. Tôi rất yêu quý Nhung, mong rằng chúng tôi sẽ mãi ở bên nhau như hiện tại.
