My home village is now different from the village in my father’s story. In his story, my village is very poor. Everyone live a hard life that time. People lack of food, of money. Now, it is different. People don’t live a hard life anymore. They have enough food, enough money, everyone got a house, and many more things. The only things that doesn’t change is sentiment. Everyone always be very happy. They live together, help each other when they need, that is a luxury. That makes my village a wonderful place for everyone. People are just farmer, but they solidarity in the face of penury. And when they have money in their hands, they still solidarity they are friendly with others, they are helpful, they are good people. Landscape is still like the old days. That river, that mountain. Nature is harmony with people. People live with nature, people product things of nature, and nature always open-handed with people, give them resource for them to build their house. That is what people seek, and they live with it very well. That’s all I can say about my home village, in my opinion, my village is a wonderful place. War does not determine who is right, only who is left:” Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”.

Country life is natural; town life is artificial. In the country, we are close to Nature. We are surrounded by green fields, flowers and trees. There are streams and brooks. People are open, plain and frank. They are generous and hospitable. They are attached to one another. They are sympathetic towards one another. They share one another's joys and sorrows. Village life is free from all restraints of society. People are simple in their habits and dress. They are illiterate and ignorant but simple and honest. They are not cunning. In the country, one gets fresh air, fresh water, fresh fruit and vegetables. Milk, butter and other eatables can be had in an unadulterated state. There is absolute peace and quiet. There is no din and noise. There is nothing to disturb the calm. There is no roar clang of machinery. Motors and carriages are seldom to be seen. There is no hustle and bustle. The people are contented because their demands are few and are easily satisfied. Country people are pious and religious. The people cherish friendly and neighbourly feelings towards their fellowmen and live in perfect harmony and goodwill. The young respect the old irrespective of caste and creed. There is a social unity. The country life has also its disadvantages. There are no easy means of transport and communications. There are no schools and hospitals. During the rains, the roads become muddy and impassable. There are no post and telegraph offices. Life and property are not as safe as in towns. In spite of all these disadvantages, village life is better than town life. In the country, close contact with Nature brings one nearer to God. In towns, people are selfish and materialistic. They are greedy. Money is their god. It is the be-all and end-all of their lives. In a word, country life is simpler and much more quiet and peaceful than town life which is full of bustle, worry and hurry. 1. Who made the country and who made the town according to the Bible? ................................................................................................................................... 2. Can we get fresh air, fresh water, fresh fruit and vegetables in the countryside? ................................................................................................................................... 3. Who respect the old irrespective of caste and creed? ................................................................................................................................... 4. Where does the writer like living, in the city or in the countryside? ...................................................................................................................................
