My favourite leisure activity is reading. I like reading because it is a hobby that is useful and interesting: useful because you can find a lot of knowledge of all areas that you need; interesting because the books can give you the joy and help you relax after a day of toil etc... Especially, when you join the forum, you can meet a lot of people who have interests similar to yours, comment on the books or novels that interest you.

I love books and also natural as reading books. At the age of ten, I was awarded "The Scarlet Sails" of Alexandre Green by my grandfather. It is the first of book that I have been. I read it does not know how many times (Up to now, I still love it and occasionally read it again). My love for books begun.

I usually spend almost of free time in choosing the book with my friends, participate in dicussion on the forum and reading (of course!). Every weekend and all holidays when I have no work to do, I often read books and ruminate on it. I also help some friends can select the genres of books that they like.

I always hope that I will have my own library in my future. I love books very much and perhaps, I couldn't live without them.

In my free time, I often play video games and watch TV. On the weekend, I go to the park and play badminton with my friend. Sometime, I like helping my parent with my house work: cleaning the floor, washing the dishes , doing the gardening. On Sunday evening , I love eating out with my family because the food are delicious.

Talk like and dislike about life in the countryside
Living in the countryside has a lot of advantages, but also many disadvantages. As the advantage we can consider the fact that the country is less polluted and the traffic isn't so heavy. You are fit and you don't need to worry about your health condition, because in the countryside the air and water are so clean. In the country there are many plant species. There aren't any huge blocks of flats, modern skyscrapers or bothersome traffic jams. In the country you are free to admire the breathtaking landscapes such as huge meadows, peaceful hills or forests. You can enjoy walking in the forest and picking mushrooms or hunting. Another advantage is that you may easily build a big house and the garden, because charges for ground are much lower than in the suburbs. Moreover, living in the countryside is cheaper than it is in the city, so you probably may afford many other things, because the prices are lower. What is more, you can invite your friends to the barbecue organized in your garden. It would be great! The other positive side is the safety. In the rural area the crime rate is much lower. There aren't a lot of housebreaks and the possibility of burglary is also lower. In the countryside people usually and keep eyes on neighbour's estates. They always react when something strange is happening. Country life is very peaceful and silent. You will enjoy the feeling of peace.

However, there are a lot of positive aspects of living in the country side, there are also some disadvantages. Living in the country is slower. People don't need to hurry and have a lot of time. People in the country don't have to work so many hours as they do in the city. On the other hand, they don't earn so much money. Moreover, there aren't such interesting things to do during free time. The unemployment rate is also much higher than in the city. The problem may be also the communication. If you don't have your own car, you may have problem how to commute to work. The same problem concerns the access to the hospitals, schools, police stations and shops, which are usually located far from the village. Last of all, there are some dangers connected with country life such as heavy snowfall or rainfall.

To sum up, I think that living in the country may have a lot of advantages such as fresh air, breathtaking landscapes and comfort, but a lot of people decide to stay in the city, due to the fact that the life in the town is easier. The easy access to shops and other institutions are the great advantage.

In my opinion , life in the countryside has more fun . Firstly , people are more friendly you can know every body in the village. Secondly, life in the countryside isn't as fast as that in the city you"ll feel safer . In addition, the countryside í more peaceful: the vast paddy field, the fresh air and the feeling of the freedom. In short, the country life are more interesting.

III. You are going to read the first part of a newspaper article about gorillas in Uganda. Choose the most suitable heading from the list A - H for each part (1 - 6) of the article. There is one extra heading that you do not need to use. There is one example at the beginning (0).

Gorillas in Uganda’s mist

(0) BLACK furry face stared out through the branches. Wide-eyed innocence tinged with mischief. After an hour and a half of hacking through forest, I was face to face with the mountain gorillas of Uganda. For 25 minutes I gazed, transfixed, hardly daring to breathe as two youngsters played out their daily lives, seemingly oblivious to the wonder-struck intruder.

(1) Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, in the south-west, hides a remarkable secret. Designated a National Park in 1991, this magical, mist-shrouded area is home to roughly 300 mountain gorillas – half the world’s population.

(2) They are split into 23 groups, two of which are now habituated to human presence. The Mbare troop consists of 13 animals. The group was named after the hill – the word means rock in the local dialect – on which they were first spotted.

(3) Six females and six young are led by the silverback male Ruhondezh – literally one who sleeps a lot. Ruhondezh, his back seemingly as wide as a bus, was magnificent. And it was clear that food, rather than sleep, was on his mind as we watched.

(4) One minute, he munched contentedly on the vegetation while members of his family played in the branches above. The next, displaying his 8ft reach, he brought a huge branch crashing down to provide more sustenance.

(5) Being so close to such impressive wild animals brings all your senses to life. In our passive, modern world, it is all too easy to lose touch with these primeval feelings. But in the heart of Africa, crouching just 15ft away, basic instincts rule. I felt a tremendous privilege at being allowed to share, even for a brief time, the lives of these gentle animals, which are on the edge of extinction.

(6) To ensure their survival, the local people must feel there is some worth in keeping the gorillas. To such an end, the park authorities are currently engaged in revenue sharing. A percentage of the money raised from allowing tourists to view the gorillas is ploughed back into the community. In this way, it is hoped the gorillas will be seen as a source of income to be protected. But even so, the long-term survival of one of man’s closest relatives hangs by a thread. Poaching is still one of the biggest dangers.

A. How the gorilla population is organised

B. Meeting the gorillas

C. The leader of the group

D. The location

E. Appreciation of a unique experience

F. The gorillas’ reaction to seeing the author

G. What is done to protect the gorillas

H. What the leader of the group did
