I think we should spend more money on the elderly. They are also humans and can be better than robots. Also, creating robots cost a lot and may take years to finish, while the elderly are already living among us and are helping us in any work. A robot maybe can make things the elderly cannot do, but they don't have the intelligence to do other works correctly and perfectly. Let's take an example of a housekeeper robot and an elderly. The elderly can keep the house well and know how to protect it if a thief gets in. He can also know who is good and who is bad. But what about the robot? It will protect the house at all costs, but may not know the good person is coming. The elderly have feelings, but most robots have none. If they see someone is crying or having a hard problem, those robots won't come to help, but the elderly do. About their life, robots can be easy to hurt because they are made of electricity and solid iron, and can be damaged by water. The elderly protect themselves well and better than robots. And, robots must have an antenna or a control device to move. Those things require expensive materials. The elderly move by themselves and mostly need no materials( except for the disabled ones). In conclusion, the robot cannot be as perfect as the elderly. They should be spent less money on and the rest of the money should be spent on the elderly, to be honest.
