He was born in Chicago
He attended Mckinley High school in Chicago and later studied art at the Kansas City Art Institute .
He was a very successful film-maker who created beloved characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.
Apart from making films, he was also famous for building Disneyland in California, the first-ever theme park of its kind.
He married Lillian Bounds, and they had two daughters.
He died on December 15, 1966
