Save the Elephants (STE) is a non-profit organization established in 1993 by Iain Douglas-Hamilton. Its primary aims are to prevent elephants from becoming extinct and to safeguard their natural habitats. STE focuses on three key areas: Protection, Research, and Awareness. To combat illegal hunting, particularly in Africa and Asia, the organization works tirelessly to protect elephants from poachers. Additionally, STE collaborates with scientists and experts to study elephant behaviors, contributing valuable insights to conservation efforts. Through films, television, and new media, the organization also raises public awareness about the plight of elephants. With 335 projects supported across 40 countries, STE plays a crucial role in ensuring the survival of these majestic creatures for future generations.
