Walt Disney is famous around the world for being the creator of Mickey Mouse and the founder of The Walt Disney Studios. He is remembered as one of the most creative men in the history of entertainment.
Childhood and education
He was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1901. When he was a child, his family moved to a farm in Missouri, where he developed a strong interest in drawing. Later, he attended McKinley High School and took night classes at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts to study art.
Achievements
He was a very successful film-maker, who created Mickey Mouse in 1928. His studio produced many famous animated movies such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Apart from making films, he was also famous for building Disneyland in California and later Walt Disney World in Florida.
Family
He had four brothers and one sister. He married Lillian Bounds and they had two daughters.
Death and the continued success of The Walt Disney Studios
He died in 1966, but his studio and theme parks have continued to grow and inspire millions of people around the world.
