Problem 2:

This report describes the problem of electricity and water wastage in the restrooms and suggest two solutions to the problems.

Constant lighting wastes electricity and accelerates bulb wear, resulting in frequent replacements and higher utility bills. Similarly, leaving faucets running wastes significant amounts of water, particularly in facilities with high traffic, such as schools, offices, and shopping centers. This waste contributes to water shortages and increases the facility's operating costs.

To solve this problem, we propose the following solutions. Firstly, we suggest that they can use Motion-Sensor Technology. Installing motion-activated lights and faucets will automatically turn off lights and water when the restroom is unoccupied or when faucets are no longer needed. This solution is both convenient and energy-efficient. Secondly, it is recommended that we should use educational signage. Posting reminders near light switches and faucets encourages users to turn off lights and stop running water when finished.

In conclusion, implementing motion sensors and educational signage can effectively reduce energy and water waste, lower operating costs, and promote sustainability. By adopting these solutions, facilities can set a responsible example in resource conservation.
