Save the Elephants (STE) is a non-profit organisation that was set up is 1993 by lain Douglas-Hamilton. Its main aims are to ensure that elephants do not die out and to protect their natural habitats. The organisation focuses on three main areas of work: protection, reseach, and awareness. Its works to shop the illegal hunting of elephants, especially in Africa and Asian. Additionally, STE cooperates with scientists and experts to conduct research on elephant behaviours. Another important part of its work is raising public awareness through films, television, and modern media platforms. Over the years, Save the Elephants has supported 335 projects in 40 countries, making a significant impact on elephant conservation around the world.
