Dear Youth Lead the Change,

I am writing to propose the "Green Streets Initiative" as a valuable project for our community. This initiative will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of our local streets but also significantly improve our environment. By planting trees and native plants, we can create greener spaces, reduce air pollution, and provide habitats for wildlife. Community clean-ups will ensure our streets are free from litter and debris, making them more welcoming for residents and visitors alike. The installation of rain gardens will help protect our waterways by filtering stormwater runoff, preventing pollution. Furthermore, educational workshops will empower residents with knowledge about environmental sustainability and encourage ongoing community involvement.

I believe this project is the best because it addresses multiple environmental concerns while simultaneously fostering a stronger sense of community through active participation.

Girls' education is incredibly important. It helps girls learn many things, like reading, writing, and math, which are essential for their future. When girls get an education, they can make better choices about their lives, like choosing when to get married and how many children to have. This gives them more control over their future and can help them break free from poverty. Educated girls can also help their communities in many ways. They can become teachers, doctors, or leaders who make important decisions.

A 99-year-old Braunton boy camped in his yard to raise money for charity. Sir Tom  spent each night in the tent that his friend Rick gave him just before Rick passed away from cancer. On March 29, 2020, the boy began falling asleep in Rick's tent and stayed for a year. He spent the majrity of his time in his backyard, only going inside for meals, cleaning up, and school lessons. John helped North Devon Hospice, which offers patients and their families free care and support, by raising more than 105,590 pounds. Rick and his wife were cared for by the hospice before they died. Many people have been inspired by John's story to raise funds for other charities.
