In Vietnam, one of the most common natural disasters is flooding. Floods frequently occur during the rainy season, particularly in the northern and central regions. Heavy rainfall causes rivers to overflow, submerging villages, roads, and farmlands. People often face severe damage to their homes, crops, and infrastructure. In some areas, floods can last for days, making it difficult for rescue teams to reach affected communities. Despite the government's efforts to improve flood control systems, the destruction caused by floods remains a major challenge for the country’s development and people's livelihoods.
