Hanoi, one of the most ancient capitals in the world, is in the north Vietnam. It has got a population of about 4,900,000 in 2021. Hanoi is a unique combination of both contemporary and classical architecture. There are a lot of colonial buildings, ancient pagodas, unique museums, skyscrapers, or malls within the city centre. Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh and Sapa are must-see places not far from Hanoi. When I go on holidays, I usually go there with my family. However, I love to visit Hanoi most.

Indochinese Tiger is one of the endangered species in Vietnam. It is estimated that there are about 200 tigers left in Vietnam. There used to be sightings of the wild tigers in the borderline jungles with Cambodia but nowadays, it is virtually impossible to find any living proofs of this endangered species in Vietnam. The biggest problem is habitat loss and hunting to obtain the bones, skin and claws for Chinese medicines. In order to help endangered species in Vietnam, please support the local communities on your visit, so that they don't have to hunt the wild animals for a living.

She wears a white dress and a crown of flowers and walks at the front of a procession through the streets. In Padstow, a village in the south-west, two men dress up as horses and everyone follows them through the streets singing an old song. In another village there is a ‘Cheese Rolling’ competition. Everyone goes to the top of a very steep hill. A big round cheese is rolled down the hill and everyone tries to chase it. The winner gets free cheese for twenty years!

Large cities often have problems that small towns and rural areas do not have. Two of the biggest problems are heavy traffic and the pollution that cars create. Of course. Traffic problems and pollution are not only found in big cities. However, the higher populations and larger number of cars on the roads in cities can make the problems happen more often and with more noticeable effects.

One of the most common traffic problems the large cities have is congestion. As the population of a city increases, so does the number of cars on the road. Cities cannot always improve the number and size of their roads and highways to keep up with the number of cars. The result is traffic congestion, or traffic jams.

When traffic jams happen, cars that are stuck in the congestion continue to run their engines. This creates pollution and is a big problems. Pollution causes health problems for the people in cities and also hurts the environment.
