Thu về, bao trái chín treo mình trong gió, tỏa hương thơm ngát đến với mọi nhà. Trong khoảng sân nhỏ của ông em, cây cam mật ông trồng đã trĩu quả. Cây cam đã để lại bao kỷ niệm giữa ông và em. Đây cũng chính là loài cây em yêu thích nhất.
Chao ôi ! Trông những quả cam mật nhún nhảy trên cành cây mới thích mắt làm sao! Mới hôm nào quả cam đang còn bé tí xíu như quả chanh, da dày, màu xanh đậm có vẻ xù xì. Nhưng một thời gian sau, làn da ấy cứ mỏng dần rồi chuyền từ màu xanh sang màu xanh nhạt rồi chuyển sang màu vàng cam theo từng ngày, từng tháng. Đến hôm nay, những chùm cam ấy đã vàng ươm, vỏ căng mọng nước. Nhìn những chùm cam như những chiếc đèn lồng nhỏ treo lơ lửng trên cây. Từng chùm quả nặng trĩu đung đưa theo làn gió thu hiu hiu, nhè nhẹ. Mặc dù ông và em đã chống rất nhiều cành tre to để đỡ nhưng những các nhánh cam ấy vẫn cứ sà xuống gần mặt đất. Thân cây khoác chiếc áo màu xanh giản dị, đứng đó làm trụ đỡ cho những cành cây chi chít quả. Những chú chim sâu đang nhảy nhót trên cành, đưa chiếc mỏ xinh xinh vạch lá tìm sâu. Hai ông cháu em đứng bên nhau ngắm nhìn chùm quả chín. Gió vườn xào xạc như khúc hát ru đưa các “bé cam” vào giấc ngủ say nồng. Trong giấc mơ, chắc chúng sẽ rất vui khi được biết chính những múi cam ngọt ngào của chúng sẽ làm mát lòng bao người những lúc mệt mỏi.

Trong mỗi chúng ta, tuổi học trò là thời gian ngắn ngủi mà vui vẻ nhất. Nói đến tuổi học trò là những kỉ niệm buồn vui với thầy cô, bạn bè nhưng đọng lại đâu đó trong tâm trí em một hình ảnh đẹp nhất của tuổi học trò đó là một loài cây em yêu thích nhất – Cây hoa phượng.
Nhìn từ xa, cây phượng như một chiếc ô khổng lồ che mát cho cả một khoảng sân trường rộng lớn. Thân cây to và sần sùi, rễ nổi ngoằn ngoèo trên mặt đất như những chú run khổng lồ. Những tán lá xum xuê, mỗi chiếc lá xanh ngắt đã góp phần xua tan đi những cái nóng nực của mùa hè. Những cành cây cùng với những chiếc lá vươn dài lên cao để đón ánh nắng mặt trời. Cây phượng có một sức sống thật mãnh liệt, sức sống dẻo dai, bền bỉ đã góp phần làm đẹp cho đất nước và con người Việt Nam.
Phượng nở báo hiệu cho mùa thi đã đến, hoa phượng nở đỏ rực cả một góc sân trường. Giờ ra chơi, dưới tán cây phượng các bạn nam thì đá cầu, bắn bi, còn các bạn nữ thì nhảy dây, chơi bịt mắt bắt dê…Cây phượng xòe bóng mát che cho chúng em ôn bài, vui chơi, giải lao sau những giờ học căng thẳng. Lá phượng cũng trở thành một món đồ chơi cho chúng em. Chúng em nhặt từng lá nhỏ để chơi đồ hàng. Mỗi khi buồn, khi vui chúng em đều ngồi dưới gốc phượng tâm sự cùng nhau. Cành lá phượng như những cánh tay vươn ra múa may cùng gió để cùng chung vui với những niềm vui nho nhỏ của chúng em. Hoặc cũng có khi rủ xuống mỗi khi chúng em buồn. Cứ đến cuối năm học, chúng em lại nhặt hoa phượng để ép vào trang vở làm kỉ niệm – Những kỉ niệm khó phai.
Hoa phượng nở báo hiệu một năm học sắp kết thúc. Chúng em sẽ chia tay bạn bè để bước vào kỳ nghỉ hè dài ba tháng liền. Nhưng buồn nhất là phải chia tay cây phượng – loài cây em yêu thích nhất. Vì cây phượng là người bạn thân thiết nhất của tuổi học trò chúng em. Đối với các anh chị cuối cấp, khi nhìn thấy hoa phượng nở lại có tâm trạng bồi hồi, lưu luyến vì sắp phải chia tay bạn bè, thầy cô, mái trường không phải là ba tháng hè mà họ sẽ chia tay nhau để mỗi người bước vào một ngôi trường khác. Có thể họ còn học chung trường, chung lớp với nhau, nhưng cũng có thể là họ sẽ mỗi người một nơi mà chưa biết khi nào gặp lại nhau.
Lúc phượng nở đỏ rực, ve kêu râm ran cũng là lúc báo hiệu thời khắc chia tay đã đến. Vào những ngày cuối năm học, chúng em thi viết lưu bút và không quên ép cùng trang viết một bông hoa phượng đỏ rực. Những dòng lưu bút của những người bạn thân thiết không bao giờ phai mờ trong tâm trí em. Năm học kết thúc, phượng ở lại một mình, bơ vơ giữa sân trường, phượng buồn, phượng muốn khoe dáng với các bạn học sinh nhưng bây giờ sân trường đã vắng lặng, chỉ còn tiếng ve kêu. Phượng mong mùa hè chóng qua đi để lại được gặp lại những người bạn học trò.
Em yêu cây phượng bởi nó gắn liền với tuổi học trò của em, mang lại bao nhiêu ký ức về mái trường mến yêu và những cảm xúc không bao giờ phai nhạt trong tâm trí em. Dù có đi đâu về đâu em cũng không bao giờ quên được hình ảnh loài cây em yêu thích – Cây phượng – cây hoa học trò.
