\(=-\left(\left(x^2+x-6\right)-\left(x+3\right)^2\right)\)

\(=-\left(x^2+x-6-x-3\right)\left(x^2+x+6+x+3\right)\)

\(=-\left(x^2-9\right)\left(x^2+2x+9\right)\)

\(=-\left(\left(x-9\right)\left(x+9\right)\left(x^2+2x+9\right)\right)\)

= 7(x² - 2xy + y²)

= 7(x - y)² 

b)  x² + 3x - 10

= - ( x² - 3x + 10 ) 

= - ( x² - 2 . 3/2x + 9/4 + 31/4 ) 

= - (( x - 3/2 )² + 31/4

= (x - 3/2)² - \(\left(\sqrt{\frac{31}{4}}\right)^2\)

=  \(\left(x-\frac{3}{2}-\sqrt{\frac{31}{4}}\right)\left(x-\frac{3}{2}+\sqrt{\frac{31}{4}}\right)\)
