I am very glad that you told me so many interesting things about England, and today it is my turn to tell you some things about my country – Vietnam. First, Vietnam is a tropical country, so the climate is hot all year, at least compared to England. In the North, you can still feel the differences between four seasons, but in the South there are only two seasons: the dry one and the rainy one. Although the hot weather is a bit uncomfortable, but in return we have many delicious fruits. If you have the opportunity to come here, I will buy some famous fruit in Vietnam such as mango, grapefruit, longan, and especially durian for you to enjoy. Second, Vietnamese people are very hospitable, and they will be very enthusias in helping foreigners although sometimes they cannot fully understand what those tourists are saying. You can easily find the ways to your desired destination by asking local people, but my advice is that you should not wander alone in a foreign country. Third, Vietnamese cuisine is something that no one can ignore when coming here, and many tourists come back to Vietnam because they love the food here. Every region has its own special food, and a good thing is that I know some places which have a lot of famous dishes across the country. If you think Vietnam is an interesting country, you can visit it at any time. I promise to take you to many places, and you will surely have a great time in Vietnam.

Mình rất vui khi bạn đã kể cho mình nghe nhiều điều thú vị về đất nước Anh, và hôm nay đến lượt mình kể cho bạn nghe một số điều về đất nước Việt Nam của mình. Điều đầu tiên, Việt Nam là một đất nước nhiệt đới nên hầu như khí hậu ở đây nóng quanh năm, ít nhất là so với nước Anh. Ở miền Bắc thì cậu vẫn cảm nhận được sự khác nhau của bốn mùa, tuy nhiên ở miền Nam chỉ có hai mùa chính là mùa nắng và mùa mưa. Tuy khí hậu nóng bức có phần hơi không được thoải mái, nhưng bù lại ở đây có các loại trái cây ngon tuyệt vời. Nếu cậu có dịp đến đây, tớ sẽ mua một số trái cây nổi tiếng ở Việt Nam như xoài, bưởi, nhãn, và đặc biệt là sầu riêng cho cậu thưởng thức. Thứ hai, người Việt Nam rất hiếu khách, và họ sẽ rất nhiệt tình trong việc giúp đỡ người nước ngoài dù đôi khi họ không hiểu những vị khách du lịch đó đang nói gì. Cậu có thể dễ dàng tìm được đường đến địa điểm mong muốn khi hỏi người dân địa phương, nhưng lời khuyên của tớ là cậu cũng không nên đi lang thang một mình ở một đất nước xa lạ. Thứ ba, ẩm thực Việt Nam là điều mà không ai có thể bỏ qua khi đến đây, và có rất nhiều khách du lịch quay trở lại Việt Nam vì họ yêu các món ăn ở đây. Mỗi vùng miền ở đây đều có những món ăn đặc sản, và một điều hay ho là tớ biết một số nơi có rất nhiều những món nổi tiếng trên khắp đất nước. Nếu cậu nghĩ Việt Nam là một đất nước thú vị, cậu có thể ghé thăm nơi đây bất kì lúc nào nhé. Tớ hứa sẽ dẫn cậu đi thật nhiều nơi, và cậu chắc chắn sẽ có một khoảng thời gian tuyệt vời ở Việt Nam.

Dear Yugi,
Lovely to hear from you after so long. It’s great to know that you are still healthy and happy, as you always are. And it’s even greater to know that you are planning to come to study in Ho Chi Minh city as an exchange student next year! You’ll never know how elated I was after hearing that news! I almost JUMPED with joy! If only you had seen my mom’s face at that time! She stared at me as if I had had some kind of mental illness…Okay, I think that’s enough for my silly feelings, let’s get down to business. I will give you some basic information about my place so that you won’t encounter so many problems when living here.
First thing first, you will need a place to live in, and you can live at my house.I’ve asked my parents and they all agreed. I’m more than willing to share the room with you, and we can play video games together all night long! (Even though I know that I am no match for you …). You also want to find a part-time job too, don’t you? As far as I know, there’s an English center near my house which is thirsty for foreign teachers. I think you stand a very good chance of having that part-time job, so I think you should go for it!
I almost forgot, you’ll have to find a place to learn Vietnamese! Fortunately, my university (Ho Chi Minh city of pedagogy) has some evening classes for foreigners to attend. This won't be a big problem anymore when you learn Vietnamese here! The teachers are totally great!
As the letter is getting rather long, I will have to stop now. Can’t wait to see you in Vietnam!

Dear Linh,
How are you? Thanks for your letter. I am so happy because you always miss and think of me. I have just come back home from Hue. In this trip, I went to by train because it is cheap and safe . That was a really interesting trip. Hue is known for its beautiful imperial architecture and wonderful natural beauty, especially the length of history of Nguyen dynasty. I think that Hue is the only city in Vietnam that still has restored historic beauties with of walls, places, and royal tombs. Everything in Hue city make me impressed and surprised. Perfume rives is very poe and peaceful. It always make me feel comfortable and relaxing. In this trip, my father and I were on a boat in this river to listen to hue songs every night. The melody of Hue songs is always very special. I love Hue songs very much. The trips lasted 2 days. In the first day, we went to visit Tu Duc tombs. It is a large and bulky structure. We spent all day to discover this historical Structure. There are a lot of famous tomb in Hue but because os limited time we only visited Tu Duc tombs. The following day, we came to Thien Mu pagoda. This pagoda was built in the 14th century and is placed on Ha Khe hillock area near the perfume river. It is also known as Linh Mu pagoda. This is one of the most beautiful and acient architectural structures for reverence in Hue. After that, we went around the city by cyclo and enjoined some special food of hue. I had a lot of memories in this trip and I hope I will have more times to visit Hue in the future. And you? Have you ever visited Hue city? Let me about your impression about Hue.

I want to make a small announcement that next week is my birthday, and it would be great if you can take your time and join us for a small party at my house. It will be started at 5pm and maybe ended early around 9pm, so I hope it is a suitable time for you and everyone. One of my favorite singers is Michael Jackson – a worldwide music legend. I remember the first time when I watched his performances with my friend, I was immediately attracted. His songs were heavily emphasized on the beats and his charisma was amazing.
Michael Jackson could sing very well with his particular and unique tone. He was able to adapt to a lot of music trends, and actually he was the one who created some. From the funky 70s disco to the R&B-ish 2000s, Michael Jackson proved he could make great songs regardless of the style and trend. All of his lyrics are so powerful and have a lot of meaning layers that pulled me out of depression during my miserable times and helped me to shape who I am today. He wasn’t only famous for his music, but also his moonwalk dance move. This signature move always made his performances so impressive and was an icon of the 20th century.
In his career, he got a lot of prizes: the first prize of male pop vocalists, of records and of R&B singers on Grammy in 1984. I like Michael Jackson with all his songs, and how he inspired many generations. He was a gift to the world.
