Tet or Lunar New Year holiday is the most important celebration in the year which occurs in late January or early February. Tet is a time for family members who live apart try to be together. The prepareions and celebretions used to be spread over months but nowdays the holiday is much shorter. However, there is great excitement building up well before Tet. Streets are decorated with colored lights and red banners. Shops are full of goods. People often buy gifts, clean and decorate their house cook tradicional foods for Tet.
