Everybody has his or her own hobby. My favourite hobby is reading. I enjoy reading a book when I am free. I started to get the hobby from my father when I was four years old. My father is a researcher so he has a great collection of books on many fields: literature, science, art,…
I enjoy reading because it allows me to explore my own imaginative world. I keep the hobby of reading at least one hour every day. I usually read books at home, in my own room, at my office or at the local library. On my freetime, I can spend hours reading and thinking about facts described in each kind of books.
My favourite author is J.K.Rowling who wrote world-famous books “ Harry Potter”.
For me a good book is not only a true companion but also a well-experienced teacher guiding me through my life. There are a lot of advantages of reading. Reading makes me feel relaxed and calm. It has the miracle to relieve my suffering and my hardship and reveal to me strange and new horizons. I can also learn new vocabularies and grammars. So I can further improve my English. Moreover, it gives me unlimited imaginations. I can learn about different cultures of other countries in the world, too.
Instead of indulging myself in futile entertainments, I am often keen on reading books, which broadens my mind and improves my knowledge.
In a few words, the reading of books contributes to the moral and intellectual formation of a man. I love reading and I love books. I will collect more and more books and I wish I can write my own books in the future.

Topic 3 :
I would like to talk about the Lunar New Year festival, also known as the Tet holiday, which is the occasion expected the most by Vietnamese people every year. The festival usually lasts for around 3-4 days, and it takes place when a new year comes according to the lunar calendar.
The Lunar New Year festival takes place because it is one of the most well-known traditions of Vietnam. Our people have been celebrating this occasion for thousands of years, and although there has been some recent argument about whether we should stop celebrating this festival, I do not think this activity will come to an end soon, at least not in the short term.
There are some common things that people do during this festival. Perhaps the most important thing is that people who work and study in big cities would go back to their hometown to celebrate the new year with their families and relatives. The new year festival is one of very few occasions that families can gather together, so it is easy to understand why everyone in Vietnam expects this festival so much. Another thing that we usually do is that we give children some “lucky money” with the hope that it will bring fortune to those kids. We also have some other activities such as making “chung” cake, visiting temples and pagodas… and so on.
The new year festival is so important to me and also to all Vietnamese citizens. The reason is because we get more days off from work and study, and therefore we have more time to spend with our families and our loved ones. It is also a great time to think about what we have done in the previous year, and to make plans for the upcoming year.

Bryan Adams is my favourite singer and I like his songs very much. His full name is Bryan Guy Adams and he was born around 1959 in Canada. Besides his identity as a singer, he is also a producer, actor, activist and photographer.
He is a very successful and renowned singer around the world for the last three decades. Though rock music lovers mostly like his songs, a vast number of people whose first preference of music falls in other categories, also like him a lot. He is mainly a vocalist and song player but he can play a number of musical instruments including guitar, piano, bass guitar, harmonica and dobro. He is basically a rock singer and undoubtedly he is one of the best rock singers over a long time.
His music touches the hearts of millions of people around the world and though he is mainly a rock singer, he has fans of different ages and of different music choices. His vocal, musical performance and lyrics makes his an enviable and admirable singer.
I like him mostly because of his distinguishable and remarkable vocal. He is the leader of rock songs of his time. The lyrics and music are extraordinary and whenever I listen to his songs, it gives me sensational feelings. Many of his songs have become parts of my life and memory. He is such a singer who can amuse me with most of his songs. Because of the rich lyrics and pleasant voice, he has become my most favourite singer.

Macca is my favourite singer not just for his great vocal tone, but also for his wide vocal range as well as ability to sing across various genres of music. He can croon like a jazz or traditional pop vocalist (Michelle, And I Love Her), but can also tackle ballads (Here, There and Everywhere, Hey Jude, Let It Be) and even rock out with ease (Helter Skelter, I Saw Her Standing There). He is also a multi-instrumentalist and plays several instruments very well, contributing to guitar and even drums in some of The Beatles' recordings besides just the bass that he is most well-known for.

I often share it with my mother, she loves reading just like me. To do this hobby we only money to buy book, so I have spent all my money to buy my favourite book. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Maybe James Maynard of Tool as well. I love lyricists that delve into the meta physical. My fav genre of music is post-rock which is often all instrumental w no vocals.
I never liked NiN when I was younger, but I recently started listening to their newer albums and am blown away. The song "Only" got me to look up the rest of their music. My favs are Only, We're in This Together, 1,000,000, Echoplex, Head Down, All the Love in the World, The Hand That Feeds, Everyday is Exactly the Same, Even Deeper, Hurt

Do you remember the first time you saw your favorite star? I have been a fan of singer Taylor Swift for over five years. Everything seems better when I listen to her songs.
Swift, born in America in 1989, currently plays a very important role in American music. No one would have believed that this small town girl would become a worldwide phenomenon. Swift first became famous as a top country music singer. Now, she is so well-known that everyone wants to know how she became famous. Few people know she struggled before she succeeded.
Unlike Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga or many other singers, Swift was famous for country music first. Her success came at a high price. She has been writing songs since she was 13 years old. She was trying hard to make her dream come true while other children of her age were playing, dating and having fun at parties. She was repelled by her classmates at that time, so she expressed her thoughts by singing them. That’s why so many people identify with her songs and they quickly spread around the world.
Many fans have been attracted by both her songs and personality. Her story encourages you never to lose yourself when you’re in trouble. To make your dream come true is the best way to prove yourself.

She was also honoured for selling over 50 million albums in Europe in 2003.
Celine Dion is popular among the people who have crossed their 20s. In fact, to realize the meaning of her song lyrics, a listener needs to be of a certain age. Her songs are not associated with musical noise only and they have some special inner meaning. Accordingly, she has become a popular singer and I am also a fan of her for some reasons. The most important thing about being her fan is her voice. It attracts me. Besides, her devotion to her musical career also requires attention. All such reasons have made her favourite to me.
