A compound sentence is two sentences joined by a coordinating conjunction.

Put a comma before the coordinating conjunction in a compound sentence.

Coordinating conjunctions: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.

Examples:

- He is very handsome, and he speaks English very well.

- She is a talented singer, so many people admire her.

Câu ghép là câu được tạo bởi hai câu đơn được nối bởi một liên từ kết hợp.

The following verbs are followed by the to-infinitive: begin, decide, ask, expect, forget, hope, intend, learn, plan, prefer, promise, seem, try, want, would like, etc.

Example:

- I'll ask Tom to fix my motorbike.

Ví dụ:

The following verds are followed by the infinitive without 'to': feel, hear, notice, see, watch, make, felt, etc.

Example:

- I'll have Tom fix my motorbike.
