I love living in the countryside. There are a lot of advantages when you live in the countryside. Living in the countryside means that you have more privacy because your neighbors live quite far from you. You have to walk for five minutes to get to your neighbor's house. Another advantage of living so far away from the city is less pollution. There are many fewer cars and factories in the countryside when compared to the city. This means everyone can go for a walk or work outdoor and not afraid of getting sick from the polluted air. Last but not least, you would gain so much more personal space when you live in the countryside. Each house is in the middle of a big land. You can use the land to farm for crops or have animal farms. With a lot of space on your land, you can literally do anything you want and no one will complain about it. When you walk down the street in downtown, you can comfortably walk down the street without bumping into some strangers. Living in the countryside is very different from living in the city. However, there are many benefits to it.

1969 limestone islands of various shapes, sizes, and in different green and amazing colors rise above the sea level in an area of more than 1,500 square kilometers that creates this World Heritage site. Ha Long Bay still retains its historical and culture values.
The guide told me that Ha Long Bay has been twice recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1994 and 2000, and also that Ha Long Bay is in second place in the worldwide competition of the World’s Seven Natural Wonders. I told him that before all, God has given the Vietnamese people this wonder for their kindness.

2) Write about the advantages and disadvantages of living in a big city in Vietnam.
Bài làm:
Nowadays, more and more people choose to live in the city. In this essay, I will discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of living in the city.
It can't be denied that living in the city has many benefits. First of all, if we live in the city, we will have many chances get the developing science and technology. It means that we will have more job opportunities and broaden our knowledge more easily. Secondly, we will have many different ways to spend our free time. There are a lot of theatres, concerts and other kinds of entertainment. There is always a lot to do and visit There are a lot of possibilities of shopping. In various shopping centres and galleries you can buy whatever you want. What is more, a big city is a potential market for trading activities, so we can earn more money to provide our family a comfortable life
Besides advantages, living in the city brings to us a lot of disadvantages. Firstly, a problem about which everyone is worrying is environment. The increase of factories based on industrialization and modernization has severely polluted environment. Smoke from factories' chimneys not only pollutes the air but also makes people get many serious cancers. Sewage is bumped into rivers without being purged, which threatens underwater ecosystems. The second drawback of living in the city is society's vices such as drug addiction. Young people. especially the students, are easily spoiled by bad habits. If people use up all the money, they can't control themselves and even become robbers or murders. Moreover, a problem that many people living in the city have is heartlessness. With some people, it's not worth being worried and it has no effect on our life, people are too busy to care for any others. But if more and more people become heartless, the society will be worse, no one cares another one, they live boring lives, every purposes became meaningless, without love, sympathy and many other good things.
There are good things as well as bad thing of living in the city. However, I strongly believed that advantages outweigh disadvantages. If people know how to live and enjoy their life, living in the city is one of the most interesting things that people want to experience.

4) Compare the differences in the past and present .
Bài làm:
Làm về giáo dục :
Past: In terms of education in the past, people rarely got the chance to educate themselves. Farmers made sure that their children knew how to plot a farm and carry out their daily work. Yet with time, people went to the religious institutes like church, temple, kovil and mosque in order to learn. Later with the industrial revolution and factories and equipment coming into action, even the children of the agricultural families were sent to the town to learn how to work with machinery. Then later with colonization, people started learning languages and sciences with the improvement in knowledge. The most important fact is that all these changes in education happened only in the lives of the males as the females were kept at home to do the daily work like sweeping, sewing, painting, embroidery, cleaning and looking after children.
Present: With the revolutions and freedom actions taking place all over the world, females started to fight for their rights in terms of voting, education, and politics. These freedom fights were granted after several struggles. Today, women have the opportunity to get a good education despite their religion, ethnicity, and race .
People now have access to books, magazines, and the internet and students are much advanced in terms of education and access to knowledge. However, as mentioned in the beginning, there are exceptions to these facilities.

When I was 5 years old, my father bought me a mini bicycle. He said that he would teach me how to ride a bicycle the week after. But I liked this bicycle so much, and I couldn't stand waiting until next week. So the day after, when my father was not there in the house for some reasons, I tried to ride it myself. Since I used to look at my father riding a bicycle, I would feel that it was so easy to drive it that it would hardly take a minute for me to start it and then I would be riding it on my way to my grandparents' home showing him that I could also ride the bike without being taught. But it was not easy as I thought. I fell off the bike and injured my leg. The bike was also broken. Then I was taken to the hospital. The whole incident was a big lesson for me that I should not touch upon something of which I do not have prior knowledge and that I should obey my parents since whatever they say is just for my well-being only.
For every Vietnamese, we certainly cannot forget a historical event that ended more than a thousand years of domination by the enemy of the North. It was a victory on Bach Dang River in 938, led by Ngo Quyen to defeat the South Han army. In 937, Duong Dinh Nghe was killed by Kieu Cong Tien. After that, Ngo Quyen gathered forces to the North to kill Kieu Cong Tien. Kieu Cong Tien sent people to China to pray for help in the Nan Han Dynasty. In 938, Ngo Quyen went to the North to kill Kieu Cong Tien, preparing to fight the enemy. Realizing the special tide on the Bach Dang River, Ngo Quyen had his troops piled on both sides of the river, and waited for the enemy's arrival. With his ingenuity, Ngo Quyen directed his troops to defeat the Nam Han, ended more than 1000 years of domination by the Northern enemy. That victory is really meaningful. Every time I remember, I feel proud of our country's glorious victory. Up to now, Bach Dang River still has traces of piles on the banks of the river. Although our people have many other victories, for me it is an historical event that I cannot forget.
