I have many hobbies, but I like reading most. Books are always a good friend to me. It is a good way to improve my vocabularies by exposing many new words. By reading, I get better at concentration because it requires me to focus on what I am reading for long periods. It also opens up the knowledge door for me. Reading books tell me about the world's history, let me see the structure of the brain, or bring me a story of Sherlock Holmes. I think reading is one of the most interesting indoors activity.

I love to read. Reading is my hobby. I read books belonging to all genres. But it is adventure and mystery stories that keep me the most engaged. I enjoy reading Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. They are fascinating stories that keep me very captivated. I can read them over and over again and I enjoy them. I also love to read the Harry Potter series of books by JK Rowling. She has woven so much magic through her stories. I also liked reading books by Enid Blyton.
I am now starting to read Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien. It will be very fascinating to read the high-fantasy book. I always write a review to a book once I finish reading it. It is an interesting exercise to do. It helps me to briefly write about what I liked and enjoyed or disliked about the book.

Surfing internet is one of my hobby. I find that whenever I surfing internet , I can know about this world more and know what happens to my surroundings. Its also increase my social skills which that skill is a needs nowdays. It increasing through social media like Facebook, Twitter, and so on. Besides that, we can know everything such as what happen to the world, what happen to our country, celebrities life, recent fashion, and other news that can enhance our knowledge. Internet makes our life become more convenient and variable. Besides, going to movie theater, we can stay at home and download movies while eat favourite food.I consider that internet is the biggest inventions in this generation. To sum up, the internet not only changes people's internets but also turns the world into the speed generation. As the Internet saves us much time, we can have enough time to do other things. In my daily life, I have several hobbies such as cooking, surfing, listening to music and so on. However, I like reading books the most for some reasons. Firstly, reading makes me feel comfortable after many long stressful hours at school. I actually like comic books because they contain lots of colorful and interesting images that keep my spirit relax. Secondly, reading books provides me a great deal of diverse knowledge of many fields. For instance, I can know more specific culture of each country in The World’s Cultures book. In addition, I can know more things about different life of various animals that are living around the world in the Discovery of Animals World book. Finally, reading helps to enhance my vocabulary in both Vietnamese and English language. In Vietnamese book, I can learn many traditional folks or proverbs that help me understand more deeply the beauty of my mother tongue. About English books, I can improve my English reading comprehension skill in study. Besides, my communication skill with the foreigners will be better, too. In conclusion, I really like reading books, for it brings many good things to me. I see it as an useful activity to learn how to make life more meaningful and beautiful.

Cooking has been my hobby for several years. My grandmother taught me how to cook my first dish when I was 8. She was a professional chef and owned her own restaurant. Some people say cooking is a waste of time but I find this hobby very interesting and meaningful. Whenever I feel sad or upset, cooking ease that for me in a big way, because I will have very little time to think when I am cooking. The cooking is challenging my mind and taking my mind off the stress of everyday life. Another advantage is that it enables me to expand my creativity. I have invested hours of my time per day to be more knowledge about different cooking methods. I hope I will become a good chef and have my own cookery book in the future.

One of my favourite hobbies is playing sports because being physically active brings a lot of benefits. First of all, doing exercise reduces the chance of diseases such as diabetes, obesity, heart diseases,... Moreover, not only it makes our bones and muscles stronger, but also keeps our bodies in good shape. Everybody has his or her own hobby. My favourite hobby is reading. I enjoy reading a book when I am free. I started to get the hobby from my father when I was four years old. My father is a researcher so he has a great collection of books on many fields: literature, science, art,…
I enjoy reading because it allows me to explore my own imaginative world. I keep the hobby of reading at least one hour every day. I usually read books at home, in my own room, at my office or at the local library. On my freetime, I can spend hours reading and thinking about facts described in each kind of books.
My favourite author is J.K.Rowling who wrote world-famous books “ Harry Potter”.
For me a good book is not only a true companion but also a well-experienced teacher guiding me through my life. There are a lot of advantages of reading. Reading makes me feel relaxed and calm. It has the miracle to relieve my suffering and my hardship and reveal to me strange and new horizons. I can also learn new vocabularies and grammars. So I can further improve my English. Moreover, it gives me unlimited imaginations. I can learn about different cultures of other countries in the world, too.
Instead of indulging myself in futile entertainments, I am often keen on reading books, which broadens my mind and improves my knowledge.
In a few words, the reading of books contributes to the moral and intellectual formation of a man. I love reading and I love books. I will collect more and more books and I wish I can write my own books in the future.

One of my favorite hobby is playing football. I spend a lot of free time playing football after finishing my homework. I was so interested in playing football from my childhood and started learning to play when I was 9 years old. When I was 10 years old, my dad told my teacher about my hobby of football. My teacher told my dad that there was a facility for playing sports daily in school so he could admit his child. Now, I enjoy playing football and I participate in inter-school competitions.
Skating is one of my hobby which I like very much. I started my skating when I was nearly five to six years old, when papa bought my first skates. Here I will tell you how I started my journey in the world of skating.
I like skating very much. When I started skating we were living in Meerut. In our house there was a park and around it was a thin road where I practice. First when I started skating I used the ordinary skates.First I thought that it was very difficult to balance on the skates. I thought this because it was my beginning to learn skates and I was very afraid that I may fall on the ground and ***** balance myself.
First when I started skating, my papa helped me stand on skates. I always go on the that thin road and practice in the evening. I used to put headgear,hand-pads, knee-pads etc so that I may not fall. I do this because when I fall I can’t practice skating for two to three days till the wound doesn’t heel properly.
There I have no teacher to train me how to do well skating. I just do it as I want. When my father come in the evening he used to run around the ground and I used to catch him. In this sometimes I fall badly and hurt myself. Then father used to tells me that in skating people fall very badly and even broke their bones.
Slowly, slowly, I learnt to skate well and I fall very less. Then I started to like skating. I used to practice it for two to three hours till I was totally tired. At that time I started to gain speed on skates.
Then we were transferred from Meerut to Banaras. Banaras is also called Varanasi or Kashi. It is famous for its ghats, temples and specially for pan and sarees. It has Kashi Vishvanath Temple where people come from all over the country to do the pooja of ” Lord Shiva ” here. Banaras has also the Banaras Hindu University where people from all over the world come to study.
When we reached Banaras we didn’t know anything. Everything was very new for us. Everything was just apposite of what we have thought. After a month we started going to school. Soon after that papa had a membership in ” The Banaras Club”.
There I started learning skating there. There I got a sir who taught me how to do the skating. There I learnt very well. I also got friends there. I was the smallest among them. All my friends were in the junior group and and only I was in the sub-junior group. I sometimes also practiced in the Nagar Nigam Stadium of Banaras. Skating helps me to be fresh and make me mentally and physically fit. I feel much better that before when I do skating. Doing practice and practice I reached the state level and then the national level. About this I will talk it in the next post.Chúc bạn học tốt!
