In our country Vietnam, people often greet each other very openly. You can greet each other by shaking hands, this greeting is respectful and polite among everyone. To many Vietnamese, Tet holiday has to be one of the most important celebrations throughout the year that contains both important cultural and spiritual values. Tet usually takes place in late January and early February each year. The festival always fascinates people with tons of exciting activities such as cooking sticky rice, decorating houses, as well as participating in games that are held from places to places. Tet is also the time for family reunion, when people are off from work and can vist relatives, friends and colleagues frequently. Additionally, this is also the occasion for people to show gratitude to their ancestors as well as wish kids good fortune by giving them lucky money. To conclude, Tet is a really terrific holiday for the Vietnamese to relax, have fun and practice traditional customs as well.

Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam.
The season of Tet occurs around the biginning of February and end of Janaurỵ The meaning of Tet is ending old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can't be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers.
Some typical Tet's food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake , "thit kho"( stew pork with eggs). A special food can not absent is sticky rice cake.. It is our country's traditional food on Tet holiday. Tet meal is more dilicious than our every day.
On Tet holiday, people have many typical activities. Young persons takes part in the traditional games such as: tug; cooking rice, cock fighting, watching lion dance. Many people visit relatives to wish a happy new year. A dults will give lucky money for children. Woman like going to pagoda to wish good things will come to their familỵ
In my oppinion, i like cozy and fresh Tets atmosphere. All member of family talk together about a happy new year. I can hang out with my friend and don't worry about anything

Tết là ngày lễ truyền thống của đất nước chúng tôi Việt Nam.
Mùa Tết xảy ra xung quanh biginning tháng Hai và kết thúc của Janaurỵ Ý nghĩa của Tết là kết thúc năm cũ và chào đón một năm mới. Tết là rất đặc biệt đối với các gia đình Việt để đoàn tụ. Tại thời điểm đó, tất cả các thành viên gia đình cố gắng trở lại ngôi nhà của mình và nhận được với nhau để chuẩn bị cho Tết. Hơn nữa họ sẽ mua quần áo mới và dọn dẹp nhà cửa của họ. Một chi nhánh của hoa Mai hoặc một cây quất không thể vắng mặt trong mọi gia đình. Họ mang lại một bầu không khí trong lành vào nhà. Chúng tôi trang trí bàn thờ tổ tiên với một khay đầy đủ các loại trái cây và hoa.
Thực phẩm Một số điển hình Tết như bánh kẹo, mứt dừa, trái cây kẹo, hạt chanh, bánh gạo, "thit kho" (món hầm thịt lợn với trứng). Một món ăn đặc biệt không thể vắng mặt là bánh gạo nếp .. Nó là món ăn truyền thống của nước ta vào dịp Tết. Bữa ăn Tết là hơn dilicious hơn mỗi ngày của chúng tôi.
Ngày Tết, người có nhiều hoạt động tiêu biểu. Người trẻ tuổi tham gia vào các trò chơi dân gian như: kéo co; nấu cơm, chọi gà, xem múa lân. Nhiều người thăm thân chúc một năm mới hạnh phúc. Một dults sẽ cho tiền lì xì cho trẻ em. Người phụ nữ giống như đi chùa để mong những điều tốt đẹp sẽ đến với gia đình của họ
trong quan điểm của tôi, tôi thích ấm cúng và tươi không khí ngày Tết. Tất cả các thành viên của gia đình nói chuyện với nhau về một năm mới hạnh phúc. Tôi có thể đi chơi với bạn bè của tôi và không phải lo lắng về bất cứ điều gì

My neighborhood in my father's story is now different from that neighborhood. My neighborhood is very poor in his story. Everyone is living a hard life at that moment. Lack of food, lack of money. It is different now. People no longer live a hard life. They've got enough food, enough money, a house for everybody, and a lot more stuff. Sentiments are the only things that don't change. Everybody will still be very pleased. They work together, and when they need to support each other, that's a privilege. That makes my village, for everyone, a wonderful place. People are just farmers, but in the face of suffering, they have unity. And when they have money in their hands, they are always in unity with each other, they are friendly, they are supportive, they are good people. The landscape is much like the old days. That mountain, that river. Nature, with humans, is peace. People live with nature, people create things from nature, and nature is still accessible to people, providing them with resources to build their home. That's what people are looking for, and they deal with it very well. That's what I can tell about my home village. My village is a beautiful place, in my opinion.

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Lunar New Year, or Tet, is considered the most important festival and holiday in Vietnam. All schools, companies, factories are temporarily closed. It is the occasion for family unions and gatherings when people return to their families. To prepare for this special day, most Vietnamese people prepare by cleaning and decorating their houses as well as cooking delicious foods. There are a lot of special Vietnamese customs during this time that you could learn. For example, the importance of the first person visiting the house on the new year, wishing greetings of New Year, ancestral worship, and giving lucky money to elderly people and children (aka “Li Xi” in Vietnamese language). During Tet, Vietnamese people will visit their relatives, go to pagodas and temples to pray for a better upcoming year.

One of my favourite festival it is Tet.This is an interesting holiday.It is held for us to worship our ancestors.Tet is held on the 1st to the 10th day of the 1st lunar month.Before Tet,we will have the preparing.It would take a week or two.The house will be repainted and will be decorated by decorations,kumpuat trees,apricot or peach blossoms.Then on the 29th of the 12th lunar month,we will watch Tao Quan on VTV Go.And when the time come,we 'll do the count down from 10 to 1 as the clock finally stroke 12.The sky will be shine beautyfully by the firework display.There are alot of great activities and I can't tell them all.By the way,Tet is coming soon.HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Traditionally but not strictly, the second day of Tết is usually reserved for friends, while the third day is for teachers, who command respect in Vietnam. Local Buddhist temples are popular spots as people like to give donations and to get their fortunes told during Tết. Children are free to spend their new money on toys or on gambling games such as bầu cua cá cọp, which can be found in the streets. Prosperous families can pay for dragon dancers to perform at their house. Also, public performances are given for everyone to watch.

Althoung there are a lot of celebration in Viet Nam, I like Tet holiday best. Firstly, Tet is a traditional, joyful and important for Vietnamese people. It is time for families to clean and decorate their houses and enjoy special foods such as sticky rice, sweets,spring rolls,...Secondly,
Tet is a good chance for us to spend time with families,friends and relatives. During Tet, we have more time to visit grandarents,teachers,.. and give them best wishes.Thirdly,Tet is time for relaxing. At Tet, we do not go to school.
